If we do have interest in Lewis Taylor, I'd support that.
Taylors stats are actually pretty good. Certainly not a goal kicker like Papley though. Knights not a goal kicker either.

Boy oh boy, 100%.

Look, I rarely post here so probably don't have the right to say this, but having popped in to see what the mood was, was kinda shocked at his jittery, depressed and apocalyptic all the prognostications are.

Honestly, the fact that the AFL can legit run a "Trade Radio" station a week before anything happens and in turn give every aimless journo a chance to harvest clicks is not healthy or useful for anyone.
Not all of us are jittery, depressed, and apocalyptic. In fact, I have it on good authority (my source is a mod ) that I've secured a date with Kate Upton.

David King believes Essendon should go all in and lure the latter as a ready made replacement for Joe Daniher, should he fly the coop and move to the Sydney Swans. “You’d probably get a second rounder for Orazio Fantasia,” King explained. “You’d probably get a first and second rounder from Sydney for Joey this year. That gives you three selections into your footy club. King’s hypothetical would rely on Essendon trading Daniher to Sydney in exchange for Pick 5 and 25, and Essendon trading Orazio Fantasia to Port Adelaide in exchange for Pick 29. Those three picks, along with Essendon’s Pick 31 and 37 and a future first-round pick would be packaged up and presented to the Giants as bait to land Cameron.

If we are believing unreliable media people here another one.

More proof no one knows what is going on

I consider Barrett to be one of the more accurate reporters. For this reason I am extremely worried that what he reported could actually be true.
I listened to the Barret bit on afl.com - he threw in so many conditionals that even by his (non existent) standards it is a useless report.
He did note there would be something going back to the Swans in addition to Daniher.
Even if it was Carlton and Essendon's first rounders in 2020 I wouldn't like the deal - I can't imagine any iteration of it being successful for us.

Comedy value to be had in listening to Lloyd pretending to be disappointed and his "aw shucks, the dons will just have to start again" attitude.
How they managed it with a straight face I'll never know.

You on the piss early
He's better value, not a better player. Jenkins would give us 40 goals a year for the next few years. He would probably cost a third round pick and about $300-$350k p.a. Daniher on the other hand will probably be sitting on the sidelines and will cost us an arm and a leg and prevent us from drafting someone like Kemp or Serong.

Herald Sun reporting Richmond weighing up making a late bid for Zac Jones ? Just what we need. Get shafted by them and at the same time make them stronger.
At least they might give us pick 19.

"Right now, the Swans have a group of young players that would be the envy of most clubs. Heeney, Mills, Papley, Florent, Dawson, Haywood, Blakey, McCartin" - Terry Wallace

Totally agree

Any chance ling asks to be traded? We haven't been able to get him on the park. Must be missing home and wondering why he's here
Must be zero trade value now. Just have to hope he comes back next year and actually does something to justify a trade or staying on the list.

Anybody know what his condition will be going into pre-season?

Pick 5 and second rounder fair for Danniher. We have to cough up for a contracted FF, is gun, regardless of injury. No way we are giving 5 and 9. I know nothing but I just think he doesn’t want to come out and announce until he knows it will go down smoothly.

I'm sure Longmire's defensive mindset would love having 2 forwards in Jenkins and Menzel standing in the square hands on hips watching their opponents running the ball out of our forward half. He is a bludger.

Would think would take the Ellis money
There's talk that the AFL might give Richmond an end of first round draft pick as compensation for Ellis due to the length and value of the contract that Gold Coast have offered him.

Wallace's analysis of the Swans list was nothing new really.

Said the main issues were our rucks (shocking), need improvement from Parker & Kennedy, key defenders a worry (though he backed Melican to turn his form around), and also seemed kinda dubious about us needing a key forward ASAP. (But then said Buddy only had 30 more good games left in him.)

Said we have a core group of seven youngsters who would be the envy of every team in the comp in Heeney, Mills, Papley, Florent, Dawson, Hayward and Blakey.

At least they might give us pick 19.

You could be right and that would do in my opinion as someone mentioned it would be better than Saints offerings. I will stick to what I heard weeks ago though and say Essendon were very keen on him and he could still be going there although all talk has been about Saints.
