Who knows how this off season is going tom turn out for us But I do have Faith That The Club Know its Time. Time to put some polish on this rebuild that has been going for a couple of years and set us up for a real tilt again very soon. I just have this gut feeling this will be a good one for us and success will not be anywhere near as far away as it seemed at times this year.
Can only hope

Just having a squizz at Essendon's Board and one of their regular's Godzke who is a fairly solid poster said He can Confirm Daniher asked for a trade Today. Could be taking the piss but the silence is deafening now. Regardless don't see this coming to a head any time soon.

Can see it now.

Swans trade all their picks and first F/S rights of all current players.

"Yeah, I think we came on on top here" said Beatson

The more I think about our two proposed trades - Daniher and Papley, the more I feel that we should not be involved in either.
Papley is contracted so he can only leave if we choose to let him go. I suggest we tell him he is staying.
All these so called "media experts" are suggesting that Daniher is to cost us both pick 5 and Papley. This is for a player who has barely played in the past two years due to osteitis pubis. Has had an operation to fix it which has obviously failed as he is still a long way from 100%. As a worse case scenario, he may never play again. There is no way on earth we should be giving up this sort of compensation for Daniher. I'm hoping we walk away and say to Joe "let's see how the groin goes next year and if all is well we are more than happy for for you to join us in 2021.
It might be boring but I would rather the status quo remain and we pick up a very good kid with pick 5.

I just went and had a squid too and the post you are referring to is a definite piss take. He says that he has put in a transfer request..... for an Under Armour version (Essendon have changed their merch manufacturer.

No wonder Eddie is pi**ed

I still think you can clearly win flag without great rucks

KPF are far more value on the big stage
We can play him forward for 35% of the time. Guaranteed he'll kick more goals than most with Blakey and Buddy hitting him up.

Is Jones good?
Hit and miss IMO. Some on here seriously rate him, but he's never really torn a game apart. I'd prefer to keep him, but wouldn't mind him going. Sort of feels inevitable anyway. Would he be an Ellis replacement?

Hannerbury ~ $800k
Rohan ~ $500k
Papley ~ $350k
Jones ~ $400k
McVeigh ~ $250k
Grundy ~ $350k
Smith ~ $300k
Jack ~ $400k

Total $3.35M

I've tried to take into consideration where each player was at in their career and when they last re-signed.

We have a war chest ladies and gentlemen. Even if you factor in re-signings of other players I reckon we are sitting on $2M spare.

We'd only pay Joe ~ $500k due to injury concerns. We can afford to throw $1m at Grundy and a couple of lesser names like taylor, bennell & knights all on minimum chips. Get ready for a big trade season and a big push for a flag next year imo.

Few would have been on more than that surely, especially jack as his wasn’t a one year extension like Grundy and Macca

Smith much more

bedford any relation to John?
A pair of Vic Country midfielders shared top billing in the Yo-Yo running test. The aerobic measure saw Jay Rantall and Cooper Stephens both reach level 21.8, with Gold Coast Academy prospect behind them at 21.6.

Rantall, a former high level basketballer at junior level, performed consistently this year as a midfielder for the Greater Western Victoria Rebels,
