And like Mcarthy Hill is one ‘need to take time away from the club for mental health reasons’ being worth a late 2nd rnd pick in 2020. Bell dropped the ball, made a bad call and now has to live with what comes back. Unfortunately you can’t win them all.

Hill is a professional footballer, not that you would be able to recognize that. Hill also likes playing at Freo as he has stated on many occasions but believe what you want because it doesn't matter a brass continental. The only reason he entertained leaving the club is because his girlfriend wanted to live in Victoria.

My preference is for Hill to stay and thanks to St Kilda's inept and unprofessional conduct, I look like getting what I want.

You should understand but probably don't, that Freo doesn't owe you any damn thing. You have zero entitlement to a contracted player and the failure here is entirely St Kilda's. Blaming Ball for not agreeing to stupid demands does nothing but demonstrate an inability to understand simple concepts. St Kilda talked it up big then squibbed when the time came to walk the walk.

The stupid PR campaign that they tried to use to pressure Freo is another sign of dishonesty and unprofessional conduct. Its well past time for your lot to start behaving more like adults and less time throwing tantrums.

The deal is frontended, the first year is obviously closer to 900k but typically when talking contracts you talk the average value, obviously the media will take the sensationalised path. But of course the media is always infallible when it supports own views and fake news, or VicBias when it goes against us.

Lethlean never said that it was significantly lower. All he said was that "I'm not sure that the money that gets reported is always correct". Obviously he isn't going to say "yes it is 900k a year" because no one will ever leak a person's wage. So I'm not sure how you can pull 750k a year based off of that comment and a big footy 'insider'

And also we front loaded his contract which is why he now wants out, so good luck with that in a few years time

The only people that should be ashamed are those who change teams at a drop of a hat when their team does badly.

There seems to be a lot of people around Perth who are suddenly massive Eagles fans the last couple of years. The amount of Hawthorn fans seems to have dropped the last few years, as have Freo fans. Those are the ones that should be ashamed.

My "agenda" is that I would like to see my team improve. I believe that we should offer a price up to a point which we feel that Hill will improve our team more than the assets we trade for him would.

I personally believe that pick 6 alone would have been overs.

What Freo want for him beyond what I consider to be a reasonable price is irrelevant. If you don't want to accept a reasonable offer I think we should walk away and let you guys keep him.

Neither team is going to win or lose a premiership dependent on where Brad Hill plays so it's just not that big a deal tbh.

As it stands right now the absolute worst offer I can imagine would be 18 + future 1st.

12 with future 1st for Hill and 22 would be next worse.

Maybe 12 + 18... I can’t imagine that, they’ve clearly split to provide currency to do other deals.

Anything less than those and Bell has screwed up by not accepting 6.

The thing about Shit Kilda is a complete lack of consistency. No one knows what was actually offered over there & they cannot agree as to what should be offered now.

They just rehash the Afl site news stories & are believing Morris & Barrett. **** me, everyone knows they’re not fussed about the truth but more on breaking the story first with a success rate less than Ed Langdons kicking efficiency stat!

I love the fact Belly has said nothing, not a thing & will definitely try to do the right thing by Bhill, but as no doubt explained to Bhilly from the start, it won’t be to the detriment of the club!!

Yes it has to be something like that if it will come to pass...you guys need something to get your other stuff happening so a third back. Some good will happening hopefully.

Was really impressed with both Lethlean and Bell day 1 and 3 trade radio...really got the impression there was respect between the clubs and so much media stuff is way off the mark.

Young had offers from 6 different clubs.

I hope Bell speaks to the other 5 clubs.

Some saints fans still back him as well. He was asking for an extension all year due to financial troubles following a bad investment.

We kept holding out and at the end of the day that allowed another club to come in with a better offer.

I find it embarassing how much we perpetuate this myth that Lyon acted inappropriately. If I was offered a job with a greater wage and more security I would take it in a heart beat.

Let's also not forget that we had actually promoted that snake oil salesmen Chris Pelchan which placed him higher than the coach in the football department hierarchy. They had an unworkable relationship and all of a sudden RL was expected to report to him.

There is a lot you fairly criticise RL for, but his decision to accept the Freo offer is not one of them IMO.
