I believe I made that exact same point didn't I?

I'm also not sure what reports I am supposed to be believing?

My "agenda" is that I would like to see my team improve. I believe that we should offer a price up to a point which we feel that Hill will improve our team more than the assets we trade for him would.

I personally believe that pick 6 alone would have been overs.

What Freo want for him beyond what I consider to be a reasonable price is irrelevant. If you don't want to accept a reasonable offer I think we should walk away and let you guys keep him.

Neither team is going to win or lose a premiership dependent on where Brad Hill plays so it's just not that big a deal tbh.
Here's the thing with draft picks; we currently have Cerra who we got with pick 5 on our list. He has been ok and shown glimpses. Enough to suggest that he may one day be a decent player, but not enough to be certain that he will. He is also amongst the best performed of the top picks from his draft.

Contrast that with BHill who you can virtually guarantee will play at a high level for the remainder of his career, regularly showing elite footballing ability and game changing impact.

One is a risk, the other a certainty.

One will produce from day 1, the other may never produce.

I missed something (Ha! what a surprise). But how are people suggesting StK will get Port's pick 10?
It’s effectively 10, Ryder/Howard > 12, 18
(With further draft pick swaps)
AFL.com.au has got onboard with the trade suggestion to upgrade 12 and something similar to the below may eventuate:

10, 66, Ryder, Howard > 12, 18, 2020 4th
Could even drop on Monday. Port have about 4 picks in the 60’s.

Then Stevens, 66 > 37

That leaves for three clubs to trade:
St Kilda: 10, 37, 76, 82, 2020 2nd, Josh Bruce
Sydney: 5, 25, 44, 54, Jones
Western Bulldogs: 13, 32, 45, 51, 53

Saints in: 25, 45, Jones; Out: 37, 2020 2nd, Bruce
Sydney in: 32, 37, 51, 2020 2nd; Out: 25, 44, 53, Jones
WB in: 44, 53, Bruce; out: 32, 45, 51
Then trade with Brisbane who need a slightly later 2nd pick for Ah Chee (ie 21, 55 > 25, 45)

After all that St Kilda have:
10, 21, 55, 76, 2020 1st and whatever change they could get

I just read on Fox that a mega four club (Sydney, Port Adelaide, WB, Saints) trade is being held up by Sydney Daniher trade. I did the above before I read that article.

Tom Browne is the only one I've seen reporting this so you probably have to take it with a grain of salt atm. He's a bigger meme than Tom Morris.

My head hurts

Hill would be your best player don’t know how pick 6 would be overs.

I think Saints supporters might be well versed in the uncertainty of draft picks. After all there's a №1 pick on their list right now who's had a fairly rough start to his career, to say the least, and is no certainty to go any further.

Umm I think I like King now?
Morris was excited to talk about this, thought it was gonna be a freo roasting sesh. Then he quickly realized this didn't go to plan.

Notice Ralphy irked up and tried to defend the Saints. "What about Howard, he's being offered $600k". Ralphy, use your 2 brain cells and realize a $900k player is your priority.

Well played King and Montagna.....brilliantly played lads.

You guys definitely coped the brunt of our Ross Lyon hate.
Unfortunate but the way he left our club we had no choice.....
I would completely understand in the first year or two disliking Ross, even though he left due to your club not presenting him with a good enough offer and left using a completely valid clause in his contract. But some of your crew were still bitter about it up until this year, which is just sad

I wonder how badly Brad wants to get back to Vic? Enjoying the weekend in Margaret River according to his Insta account. Is he confident a deal gets done or not fussed what happens? Has he just left it all to Colin Young to sort out?

If the deal was falling through/not satisfactory would Bell have been telling Brad to start feeling out other Vic clubs?

Could another club enter the race in the last few days?

My preferred outcome is Brad stays with us.

Anyone on here rate the chance of North Melbourne grabbing Hill with Pick 8 and something else? They've been looking to grab A-Graders without a lot of success from memory.
I can see North coming in for Dougal more than Hill, they need to replace Thomson. Either way StK are going to miss one of those 2 targets unless they release that future pick 1. Menadue will cost you next to nothing if you end up going with him.

Greetings friends from Bamberg where the beer is smoky, the pork is succulent and the translation of garlick into German is 'knob-launch', or so I am led to believe.
So I am logging onto this thread and have gone back 12 pages or so and it's all about Hill and I can't find a single post about the Langdon trade. WTF is Bell thinking?

Anybody else think we could go into part 3 of this thread if indeed a Hill trade happens on Monday?

The Saints board is littered with spat out dummies and toys petulantly thrown from their cots. Bell is such a big meanie for not allowing a required player under contract to leave without due compensation
12 months ago Melbourne supporters were doing the same.
Trade for Hogan, now! We want May and we need the pick from Hogan!

Not up to us to make your life easier, remember you value Brad highly, so trade as such.

According to the Herald Sun, Geelong are lurking on Hill. They did want him before he picked the Sainters' cashola and do have a number of picks they could trade up with.

Not sure if it's genuine or a little thanks to Bell for putting pressure on WCE over Kelly.

That would be hilarious.

I really hope so.

Love it you get Hill and don’t get Stevens.

Geelongs would be much easier to deal with.
