Acres hasn't finished top 10 in the Saints B&F for at least the last 3 years, in a team that hasn't played finals.

He's never played a full season. Only played more than 16 games in a season twice and never more than 19. Maybe someone should volunteer to go back and prorata his B&F results so we can do a comparison!

I should say I couldn't call a single play of his to mind so I don't know if he is good or bad. I.E. No skin in the game.

Trade paperwork lodged: Fremantle has traded Bradley Hill and Future Round 3 2020 selection to St Kilda for Blake Acres, selection 10 (on-traded from Port Adelaide), selection 58 (on-traded from Geelong Cats), Future Round 2 2020 selection and Future Round 4 2020 selection.

90% of the posts on the Saints board they are over the moon with the trade.

Half the place is celebrating, half are melting.

A lot of the celebrations are more condemnation of the melts and a lot of the melts are purely for theatrics.

I would say overall we are really happy to have Hill, but Bell extracted a very reasonable price from your perspective.


The fact that there are celebrations and melts on both boards probably says it was a fairly even trade

Geelong got ZERO top 10 picks for Kelly. West Coast won't finish bottom 8, so next year's first rounder is essentially pick 13+. They have only 14 and 17. In contrast we have Picks 7 and 10. Pretty happy with that
