"If you continually get things wrong, you're not going to be surviving in this game for a week, let alone five years."

Then.............. Why do we have so many flog "journalists" lasting so long?

Same reason our lame duck Chairman has lasted so long.

Trust one of the biggest flogs in AFL media to have a sook at players criticizing journalists

Exactly!

More to the point they get their AFL accreditation & keep the AFL relevant by coming up with many stories... regardless that many (most) are made up/speculative.

Funny that Barrett is complaining as he doesn't want to be held accountable for his rumourmongering.
Damien, you flog, now listen.

If any of you or your fantasy-creating mates were ever held accountable, none of you would have a job by now.

AFL should bring in a policy whereby flogs like you who declare bullshit to be fact, lose AFL accreditation. Then the AFL needs to sue your arse for fabrication of said bullshit which can be detrimental to the reputations and performance of the victims about whom you make up shit.

So GAGF with your indignant unwarranted whinging.

Interesting that after 6 rounds Port have beaten 12, 15, 17 and 18 and lost to 7 and 8.

We have beaten 6, 13 and 16 and lost to 1, 11 and 18.

Doesn’t mean much at the moment but we will get some idea where everyone stands over the next month.

Port without thier two best defenders and two best forwards. Still worth a punt Friday night.

Demons had 39 players complete a total of 33 training sessions each in the pre-season prior to the successful 2018 season, when they made the finals for the first time in 12 years and stormed in to the preliminary final.
This year, in Misson’s telling, there were just 25 players completing a total of 22 sessions each – a massive drop partly explained by high number of players who had post-season surgery.
But the lack of training sessions was also due to the Demons, as a preliminary finalist, finishing 2018 later and the longer break that their players get under the collective bargaining agreement deal with the AFL Players' Association.

So seems a lot like our 2018 pre-season. Seems more and more it's super important for finalist teams to be able avoid surgeries that cut into PS time and that everyone shows up ready to rock, because losing that extra month where everyone gets up to speed can really put you behind the 8-ball to start the year.

Great clubs like Geelong and Hawks who keep backing up year after year astounds me.

Unfortunately we are like MFC..

Weird to think we were 4-2 to start last year despite that preseason.
