I know one or two guys that actually follow players and not a team. Very very strange.

It would be like following Dangerfield at the Crows, then following him at the Cats, thats just bizarre. Un-Australian.

We are there for the whole of our natural lives. I remember being a member of West Torrens in 1990 and going to meetings re : amalgamation and having followed the club since by birth I was torn emotionally. In the end, I came to the conclusion it was better to be merged than not be around at all (and I’m still a member of the Eagles).

I could never imagine supporting any other Club ever but the Crows. I find that so strange, bizarre and weird.

Yet in 1997 we had many Crows supporters defect to the new franchise in Port Power.

The only time Janus keeps quiet is during a Power failure. Thats why the last few years have been bliss on here. Except for the January to February period.

I thought Dangerfield leaving us, would break us. I genuinely believe it made us stronger.

Combined with 150% training intensity, which will be "dialled back" to 110%-120% for the actual games. Smash all those teams which can "only" manage 100% intensity.

It's brilliant. God I so wish someone at the Crows thought of this.

Train at 150%, play at 110%.

And if you find yourself in a grand final. Just tell all the players that it's not a game, it's a training session, and they can find another 40%.

I soooo fear Port this year.

There’s a huge movement in America with teens and early 20’s NBA supporters doing this. They follow the player from 1 team to the next and don’t actually follow that team.

As far as AFL is concerned it wont happen.

The game is bigger than the player. That coupled with the fact that it takes a champion team rather than a champion player to win a flag. Too many players in a team that can influence a result.

I guess the bigger the impact free agency takes, the more influence following a player rather than a team could have more influence.

However, you are correct as football is tribal and could become a huge factor in supporters staying with the team. It would not surprise me if supporter of the BBL really started followed players rather than team, like the NBA.

But if they know that Janus is male and think that calling Janus a "she" as some kind of backhanded misogynistic insult, that's disgraceful.

It’s words on a screen. You are analysing what is getting said. The important part is what, not who.

By placing more emphasis on ‘who’ adds to the nonsense surround the bullshit and arguments. By just looking at the ‘what’ places far more emphasis on the point being made.

By removing the person or personality allows a greater emphasis on the point but since you don’t like this or that person misguides your responce.

There used to be a LOT of male posters on Big Footy with a sexy female as an avatar... in fact it USED to be a badge of honour. I'm pleased that at least that side of things has changed. The name JANUS is a Roman God... a man with two faces.
