Would be interesting to find out how many bandwagon supporters jumped on the Power in September 2007 and also the early part of September 2014.

In case anyone forgot what happened to the Power in 2014.

Interesting that the players that stood up late in that game was Polec, Wingard and Pittard.

A few things I noticed:
Eberts play on was terrible
But not as bad as the holding the ball call. Disgraceful.
Should have been 50 at half back to Port
And probably HTB to Port at the end if the other one was the standard.
If it'd been the Crows I would have been filthy.

You should be filthy, 2 years ago from that final, we were robbed v Hawthorn.

You read that and thought that’s what I was saying? I was just trying to be humorous.

Yes, I believe Klopp’s style is what we are trying to do this year. I said it at the end of 2017 I thought that was the best way to go.

No, I don’t actually think we ripped off their ad because the coaches said that was how we are going to play.

But it will be like the Liverpool style. It’s a bold strategy, Cotton, let’s see if it pays off for ‘em.
It'll probably work, I can see you guys kicking 3 goals in some games

What hurts is that we had our "bunny" back then in Sydney for the GF. A truly neutral ground for the GF too.

Yeah well we threw away our season in that pathetic display in the QF two weeks prior.

So to try and win the flags in 2018 and 2019.

Port decided to recruit Watts, Slops and Rocks, where none of them cracked the top 10 in the Clubs B&F despite being vary mature players. They chose to trade players ranked 5th and 6th for the year instead.

Janus we need your heat maps here.

Let’s see 2 are gone, 4 are defenders, 1 doesn’t play the first 4 games of this year, 2 of the top 4 are 30+ with the remaining one also 30+.

Yep, things are looking grand down Alberton way and that was in a relatively successful year!

Yes, but before the HTB against Ebert he was hanging on to the Hawk player who didn’t have possession. Could have been called holding the man against Ebert.

Power’s next fight for their traditional right

PORT Adelaide has one challenge that is more volatile than appeasing its traditional members and fans by appointing just one captain this season: Sorting out its celebratory jumper for next year.

Note the neighbours first jumper was Light Blue & White hoops.

So if the campaigners want to tie itself to their bs history they can wear their light blue and white hoops.

Stand strong Eddie, Stand strong.

If anyone wants to email Mr Rucci lol,

I hope both Polec and Wingard reply to these claims the best way they can. Playing important roles in teams that are playing Finals and banging on the door of All Australian selection.

Whilst Port sit bottom four with the "better list".....

Someone tagged me, so I'm back for a bit.

No one ever questioned the talent of Polec and Wingard. It's the application of the talent that was the issue. They were more talented than Westhoff, Wines and Jonas, yet they finished below those three in the best and fairest. That's why Westhoff said it was a mixture of both discipline and skill that sees our list in a better place this year. Lycett, Burton, Mayes, Rozee, Duursma and Butters' discipline + skill > Wingard and Polec's discipline + skill.

Wingard won the best and fairest back in 2013. No one should be celebrating a sixth placed finish for someone who should be playing at his peak. And honestly, on field performance and how you are viewed by your teammates are two vastly different things...which is probably why Chad got the boot at the end of the year.

Polec loves it when everyone else is doing the hard work for him so it makes him look good. He'll slot right in at North, but it won't make a lick of difference.

P.S How confident are you guys that you'll finish above us? What odds will you give me? Cause I'll take up whatever you want to throw at me :)

Ban yourself from BF for the months of October and November, if the Crows finish above Port.

This will be a lot harder than you think because when your season crashes in July, you will only have your draft picks to talk and brag.

Unless they are hopeless Fevola types, application is mostly about coaching. If you have talented players not applying themselves, it means your coaches aren't motivating them properly. People talk about Wingard being too comfortable and not getting the most out of himself but who created that environment in the first place?
