I don’t really believe the noise, but if Ollie Wines is available, you simply have to chase him. Had a year to forget, but we forget quickly how good he is. Still young, only 24.
Is he an A grader ? What have his better years been like ?

Just a hunch..

This year's first for Hill.

Next year's might go for Crouch or Wines if possible.

If not, we go hard at Bing.

If Hill has committed, it would be poor form to drop him in favour of Wines IMO.

So we take him regardless.

Everything else is up in the air.

Oh, 100% taking Hill this year. You never pass up an opportunity from an A grade player that has shown commitment to join. He’s been number 1 target for weeks as you know. He’ll help us win games next year and attract more players then. Was just if we could structure a deal on top of Hill this year.

Sorry for the intrusion i just watched the video of sam rowe but was more interested in ex port fella Logan Austin. He looked real promising with us and had a real purple patch against north/collingwood a few years back. I think he moved to be closer to Jack Steele. Question is he hadnt played an AFL game this year where is he at? injured, poor form or potential delistee?

Yep and I guess my point stands that extremely highly rated talls often don't make it, if we're referencing the 2006 draft then the moral would be - go for mids with your early picks.

Patton, Boyd, McCartin, Schache - two of which we often talked about trading in with a first rounder, another we used the #1 pick.

It was only 5 years ago that we burnt 2 first rounders chasing this dream.

Proceed with caution IMO.
Very true and agree but my point is the one not already with us we have seen an initial body of work for that looks very promising.
