Yeah I think it’s just a consistency thing with Ford. Has the tools but can’t always put it together.

Have a look at Ford's AFL Draft Central Profile then look at the one below his. Both very similar except the one below was reportedley less classy than Jack Billings

Well it's kinda true in one respect - Billings looks (and plays) like he's from clean-cut Brighton stock, while DeGoey looks (and plays) like someone a little more rough around the edges hailing from [insert your favourite lower socio-economic advantage area of Melbourne here].

Pts deficit for Serong?

If it's Serong, I don't wanna be right.

They had to match a bid for their academy product in the top 10 after they used their two first rounders, so they went into deficit that way I think.. But I'm not totally sure.

"Due to Fremantle’s matching of Carlton’s bid on Liam Henry, Fremantle hold a -265 point deficit going into next year’s draft"

How could we possibly not draft someone called Denver Grainger-Barras? Our tradition of having players with strange names is at stake here!

Well he would have been taken at pick 9 for sure if a certain club who plays its grand final in July every year hadn't traded their pick away to North.

(edited as the aforementioned club doesn't have pick 10 any more)

How I read this is he will trade out our 2021 1st.... for a 2020 late 1st (plus 2021 pick/s for Daicos points) so he can have a crack at someone who is not so much top 10 but more top 30 in his mind this year

Edit: Or the opposite... trade out 2020 and 2021 1sts for say Blues pick 7 and future 2021 later picks (Daicos points)... banking on nobody to have bid on Reef by pick 7. Blues then use one of those picks to get Saad or Williams

I think you’ll find that 2021 first will come at a premium this year. Supposedly a very very strong draft, way less compromised. Clubs will be keen to get a second first rounder in the bank for next year, so I’d imagine we’d be able to do a bit better than a late 2020 1st for our 2021 first if we went down that path.

This is why I'm asking for opinion before doing anything.

I think it is a bit grey, and could all fall under "recruitment".

I'm comfy to leave it as is mate.

If we go ahead and merge it will be because we have decided together.

How is Draft and Trade the Same?

jathanas ?

Well I thought Draft we talk about Players in the Draft and Trade and Free Agency talking about Current AFL Players
