Exactly. He's potentially a GREAT player, not just a good one. God I remember having this exact argument when people were saying we needed to de-list Walters because he was obviously never going to make it. My point was you give people with extraordinary ability a bit more of a chance to come good because the potential payoff is huge.
Of course I know nothing of Hogan or what the philosophy of the club is around him, I just want to see him have an uninterrupted go at it because we all know he can play. Its all between the ears for him.

I don't think anyone disagrees with that on principle, it's more whether dealing ourselves out of the first round for at least this year and next year (Cripps) or being forced to pay bank (Brown) will be worth it in the long term.

I think Schloithe is going to keep poisoning that particular well for a while longer yet.

Yes. Because we’re willing to trade Cerra, Brayshaw, Lobb etc if there’s a chance we get Cripps. Wouldn’t touch with a pole if that’s the case. Stick to our youth policy ahead of big names
