Also talk in the HS this morn that there are no suitors in Brodie or Wright. Haven't seen much of Brodie but thought we would be keen in 2mP in the likelihood of brown going.... but miochek despite being offered an extension is apparently abit away from what he wants.... I like mio as a brown replacement but would still want to look at lmac but also want Hollands too.... glad not me choosing and the choice maybe taken away from us anyway

Brown and 9 for 6 and ‘21 First

Lonie is for the tip
That actually looks like a fair deal for BBB.

Their '21 first will be a top 10 pick (I think top 5) and the pick swap sweetener means we should then be able to get 2 of Hollands, McDonald, Phillips, Granger, Tillthorp.

Of course given its Dodo negotiating here the pick swap in his mind is probably ...out 2 for their 6!

Agree but he did it at the saints when it was him and Bruce before mking came along

That was a pretty dysfunctional team. I like Membrey but think he's a Zurhaar/Taylor equivalent not a guy who can really hold a key post and take the heat for other key forwards.

Are people forgetting Shaun Higgins is 32 years old? 33 when next season gets underway.

A 2nd round pick would be overpaying. 1st round pick? Dreaming.
2 years' worth of high quality games from Higgins vs the probability that they get 50+ games of the equivalent quality from a late 2nd? A 2nd isn’t overpaying. If they want him it’s because they want to win, and flags fly forever.

Hold out for one of their firsts, or at worst an upgrade into the first round.

JZ wil be borderline best 22 as it is next year but if we were to pick up a Membrey type player then the would render JZ effectively useless.

Brady has to tell dodo - I’m not here for your BS grandstanding.
Do the deal or gtfo.

There was an article the other day saying that outside of Steele, membrey was a left field candidate for the captaincy. He’s apparently a highly valued leader - can’t imagine he’s on the table if that is the case

That would be a good trade.

Notably because 6 wont be getting pushed out by any Williams, Cameron, Daniher compensation picks either.

I'd happily death ride the Bombers into next years bumper draft also.

We don't want to be involving saad in our brown discussions.... preferring the psd option. Interesting that a decision still hasn't been made here earlier in the week when * upped their offer they were confident it would be solved this week.... now off on hols to consider

Death ride the Bombers next year?

Dude, I do that 24/7 every year!

If you cannot death ride * then I think you should have a good look in the mirror and pick another club...

If Geelong want to load up for once last shot at a flag next year for Danger then they will overpay for mature quality starting 18 players.

And with them having 3 firsts they are in a position to overpay.

Package up Higgo and Polec for their pick 10 with us paying the bulk of next years salary.

The calls that Higgins is worth a first rounder from Geelong are embarrassing to say the least. Packaging him with Polec for a first rounder at least resembles something within the realms of possibility.

It depends.

Most AFL supporters just see the highest pick connected to a trade and go "LolZ Higgins for a first rounder?!?"

Higgins + #25 for any of their picks is a perfectly reasonable deal.

They pretty much amount to pick 30+ in points.
