They don't need Treloar though Bailey Smith is a younger version and still have too many mids. They should ask for Draper and pick 6 and the VFL ruck we wanted last year.
They should ask for the future first instead.

Huge chance they finish bottom 4 and the pick won't be affected by their NGA bid

I'd say Higgins tells RFC he wants to be a Saint, RFC open negotiations with us, we try to sell our fringe players to get the picks that will satisfy and Jacks our boy. I'd say Lonie will get done first, then Higgins with his pick plus one of our late ones. Might even be a three way.

Oh all right...

Still love this one 😂

Do you think St Kilda waited until Sunday to get an overlap with the trade period? If the clubs have to agree on a trade, creating 815 points out of nothing with the compo would help.

Something like:

Adelaide trade 22 and 49 to St Kilda for 17 and next years 2nd and 3rd

Adelaide take 23 compo. ST kilda get Crouch.

Adelaide lose Crouch and 49. Gain 17 and next years second and 3rd

St Kilda pay next years second and 3rd and a five pick downgrade for Crouch and 49.

If saints finish 8th say, picks 29 and 47 next year.

Adelaide out: crouch and 1132 points
In: 2780 points

St Kilda out: 1965 points
St Kilda in : Crouch and 1132 points

Adelaide receive net 1648 points - pick 7 for crouch

St Kilda pay net 833 points - pick 22 for crouch

Might look complicated, but St Kilda pay ~22 for Crouch, with upside if you finish higher than 8th.

The AFL would not approve such trade. The points need to be closer to equal. Something like 17 & 65 for 22 & 50 might work if that’s part of the arrangement where Adel don’t match.

Lethlean has indicated that we aren't interested in trading for Crouch and our first pick is off limits.

With that in mind, why would we then trade our first rounder and then out of next years draft for a player we have said we dont want to trade for?

Why? We might expect you to finish 1st next year.

You'd have a 1st rounder in both drafts with this deal. Just a thought anyway.

Pick 22 is a 2nd round pick, so that would prevent us from doing anything with our first round pick next year.

If a trade is happening between the clubs, it will likely have to include a player because we don't have the picks to work.
