Add Jonas to the list of one's that need a tough decision. If he wasn't contracted for next year I'd want him out the door. He shouldn't be Captain in 2023 and should be told he's playing SANFL unless there's a major injury toll. If I was running the list management I'd be on telling him this, if he wants to retire end of year instead of such a demotion, it'd be a good thing for him and the club. Now that'd be the type of tough decision the club needs (but completely lacks the balls to do). Unfortunately if the handbrake is still there next year we'll continue to try the Geelong route (minus finals almost every year and at least making the GF now and then) and keep all of Boak, Gray and Jonas on. Motlop the only one they'll point to as a 'tough decision'.

Over? You mean never going to get going. At a minimum should be dropped to the rookie list and told he's not getting any games at AFL level unless he can last 10 SANFL games without an injury.

We’re not there just yet; Fantasia is hugely talented and you don’t dump someone like that for the sake of it, particularly at 27 (As of September this year)

Cutting him now doesn’t erase that mistake.

We’re not so hard for list spots that we can’t carry him on our list for a couple more years in the hope we get at least a few more games from him.

It was a dumb as **** trade, and totally foreseeable, but cutting him when we have **** all small forwards would just be adding to the mistake, not minimising it.

I was thinking SPP as part of the JHF trade but he's playing like he wants to stay. DBJ may be ok for North but for the fact that they sacked Dumont who is a better player for mine?

I’d be throwing the kitchen sink at targeting an established 20-23 yo KPD. This should allow AA to play to his strengths. Melbourne are at least a 5 goal better team when May & Lever are settled down back. Get it done Port.

Boak, Charlie and Jonas would be great backup players/rookie listed in the Magoos, as we ain’t gonna bring in 12 players in one year. But it requires a coach to have big nuts.
