Duursma's little sister is playing for Port's AFLW side and has moved in with Xaiver so I highly doubt he's leaving.
How do you know this? Also as posted above Durrs sister has moved over to live with him. Hardly signs of someone moving on.

I don't know if this is true or not, but a mate just told me Ash Johnson who kicked 4 goals for the wobblers last night, and looked very impressive with his strong one grab marks and mainly long accurate kicks may have been picked up in the same mid season draft as Jed McEntee, and also from the same club, ie the local blue baggers.

It is true, but he went early at pick 3 and the Jedi at 11.
I checked this morning because I didn't want to think we had done something unconscionably stupid.
We did anyway by picking a surplus to needs player.

I classified that one as run of the mill stupid. But if we had overlooked Johnson, oh man the indigestion. Even I had noticed him through cursory observation of the sanfl.
Mind you he was on the crows top up a list a year or so earlier and they didn't pick him.
Ask the brilliant mind of Donuts Hinkley, in a week where we lose Marshall to Covid you think Mitch stays in.
Form apparently.
We would've picked McEntee at 3.

But do the supporters agree he is out of form or is this an poor decision by the coach as you say? We have a similar problem with our coach not playing Treacy.
Pursue a successful AFL career or live with your sister. Hard choice.
Low in confidence which is probably affecting his game. I don’t blame him, Port havent played the same forward set up all year. He has been made to play everything from 4th tall forward in 4 tall set-up through to 2nd tall in a two-tall setup.
Ken refusing to play a ruck and Dixon’s injury in the first half of the season has meant the forward line has not been consistent. MG is a 20 year old kid, still learning the game. His form is always going to suffer if you keep changing his game.
How do we really rate our list. How many players from our list would make say a Geelong or Melbourne team.
Wines, Rozee, Butters, Marshall, SPP, Burton, Bergman, Geogiades, Aliir are the one's that come to mind, maybe Dixon and Grey but age is not on their side.

Well you did say Geelong so I don't think their age matters
Port’s list has good structure, but poor execution. It isnt the automatic team picks that win you a premiership, it’s the players that 15-30 on the list that play their role that do. Its becoming more obvious that some of those players are not being developed in the SANFL. This is either poor recruitment or poor game plan and coaching.
Also the SANFL restrictions are hampering development. Remember when Port had to rookie list a development coach to at least have some experience in the Magpies?
outside normal requirements to regenerate ageing players. A majority of the list issues are outside of the players ability to holistically control.

Assuming we can’t find KPD, midfield and small forward depth in one off season, who can we reposition to cover these areas?
Midfield is relatively obvious with Bergmann, Jones, DBJ, Sinn, etc
KPD is tricky but maybe Lord - this is an area we will need to draft/trade for.
Small forward wise we need speed and defensive pressure. Goal kicking obviously but we need someone to apply defensive pressure as teams really waltzed it out of defensive fifty too easily. Jones actually wasn’t bad. Maybe recast Frederick as a small pressure forward - his twin does alright for Freo. If Dumont gets another year, could he roll forward? Burton has speed and skills, we have excess HBFs and his form across HFB has fluctuated from AA to worst on aground. Does Schofield have the speed for this? Could Burgoyne play this role?

Based on some of the comments about Lord in the gameday thread for the Maggies game, i think we can forget about Lord in defence.
Midfield, probably take DBJ out of that group & idd add in SPP as an option to role through there.
Small forwards, you'd like to think Williams but thats probably a massive long shot. Especially given he's not being played in defence in the 2s and looks set for being delisted next year. That means we are very reliant on Fantasia staying fit, or Robbie somehow turning the clock back about 5 years.
Bringing in a ready made KPD & small forward are definitely 2 area's we need to adress.
We don't have a bad list just bad coaches.
If there was one thing you can criticise it is our depth but that is self inflicted with the number of players we have shipped out.
