I am fairly confident he can turn into a full time midfielder, he definitely has all the tools to do so. It would be a gamble though but one that could pay off big if it happened but no one really can predict that.If he doesnt end up a half back
See thats exactly why I wouldnt.I am fairly confident he can turn into a full time midfielder, he definitely has all the tools to do so. It would be a gamble though but one that could pay off big if it happened but no one really can predict that.

Buckenara's thoughts on Sinn.If he doesnt end up a half back
Gary has had some weird thoughts in recent years.Buckenara's thoughts on Sinn.
9. JOSH SINN
186cm, 82kg, Sandringham Dragons/Vic Metro, defender/midfielder
I think Josh will develop into a nice rebounding defender in time as he has good speed and is a good penetrating kick that will make him dangerous coming off half back. These types of players are highly sought after in the modern game as they can turn defence into attack very quickly. I am sure Josh will be highly regarded in this draft because he certainly brings some nice traits to the table for clubs to consider.
Not sure if you are talking about the STYLE of Elliott, or the QUALITY of Elliot, or both.
Would you be a yes for a player of the STYLE of Elliott that could be a top 2 player in a team (not saying that's what Rachele or anyone else is)?
People seem to go for the quality of the player comparison, not the style it seems more to be intended for.
His top 50 looks pretty balanced this year with only a few surprises IMO.Gary has had some weird thoughts in recent years.
But I do think Sinn ends up being a HBF and could you imagine the melts if we took another defender.
If they took away 6-6-6 we might have been able to set up like a in rugby with all our players behind the opposition. If he doesnt end up a half back
No we get pick 2 for Callaghan because GWS were taking Rachele at that pick anyway.I am lost. Are you saying we should trade up to 2 for Rachele?
???? ......Ward won the 2km time trial ??Judging from vision and profiles it seems the knock on Ward is his athleticism so wouldn't put him in the same bracket as Callaghan and Goater in terms of the type of midfielder we need.
Yeah very true if we had another pick in the 8-15 range I would without doubt draft Sinn. But 4 would seem high for a gamble pick to use on him although I am a fan of his.See thats exactly why I wouldnt.

At least if we're gambling on Rachele, we still need more talent forward of the ball. Not so much down back.4 seems a gamble on anyone in this draft.
There's no clear #4, so whoever we take is a 'reach', it just means we get first pick of all the 'reach' players
who are we picking?Hamish on SEN SA now.
Agreed. Also why we are in such debate over all these players in contention, with varying points of strengths and differences.4 seems a gamble on anyone in this draft.

Won the Vic Metro/NW/ACT time trial under Strava conditions, so not a competitive run like the Vic Country/WA/SA lads.???? ......Ward won the 2km time trial ??
Yeah it is a tough spot to be in, the draft in general it a gamble tbh4 seems a gamble on anyone in this draft.

Horne.who are we picking?
KM hearing we're most interested in Rachele/Sinn/WM
Sounds like we are looking at speed and power, so probably not this style of good, but not fast, players. Knevitt (and maybe Roberts) at 35 might be a bit good to overlook though. Long possibly.Say Rachele is our man at pick 6, do we try to get a Knevitt, Long or Roberts with our second rounder? Also does this mean we move away from a Murley type and try to get a pure midfielder?
