I wonder if Toby McQuilkin from Souths is any chance of a rookie spot somewhere. I don't know anything about him but this is his first season of WAFL at 20 and he's come from Mundijong in the Metro league to playing WAFL.
Just something about him that makes me think he could step up.

Been in the South's system for 4 years now from what I can see. This is his first year of playing any league, and he produced his best numbers yesterday. Kicked a few goals in his first year of colts.

Where did Greg Clark come from?

Seems he only played WAFL this year, at 193cm probably should have been discovered sooner

EDIT: Clicked on Season stats instead of Career

Looks to have way higher numbers than previous years, maybe everything clicked this year?

So Luke Jackson in the bad books.
Didn’t have time to read article but I’m assuming he was drunk and disorderly and had to be tasered. 14 cops were involved to restrain him but like his 3rd quarter he held them off.

When running from the scene it’s rumoured he pushed over a little old lady in a wheelchair.

Should be available for a future 2nd.

Has played 93 WAFL league games. Was able to be first drafted in 2015. Played some reserves - wasn’t in the league teams that lost to Peel in 2016/17. He did play in the premiership teams of 2018 and 2019. Really come on last year and again this year.

He and Bailey Rogers are with a look. According to Duff Freo had a close look at Rogers for the 2019 Rookie draft but went with Tobe Watson instead.

"Longmire is expecting Logan McDonald to be one of the key forwards to step up and support Lance Franklin in a new-look forward line"

**** I'm so devo, looks like Logan isn't the big fish afterall :( :(

Points are historical data over a number of years not just one year.

In the Cerra, Brayshaw and Rayner draft, picks 1-6 got a similar quality player.

In the Walsh draft, you had 6 players who could go pick 1 in another draft.

This year according to Cam Tombster, it’s the Fab 4.

For us to go from the second tier to the top tier would cost a fortune.

And to expand on this, fans (and the media) get excited by the pick numbers and the points, but I'm sure to recruiters it's all about the talent.
Pick X in one draft is not the same as pick X in another, nor the same to each recruiter even in the same draft.

It's all about who would be available at that point, and why trading up (or down) during the draft happens any may have very little relationship to the 'normal' points values.

Could it be?

cerra and young to carlton
Pick 25 and 27 to wb
Picks 6 and 17 to freo
Western bulldogs probably need carltons future 3rd as well

Freo lose Cerra and 27 for 6 and 17 .. that's not terrible

Dogs lose 17 and Young for 25 and 27 ... that's not great

Blues lose 6, 25 for Cerra and Young.. they would love that
I find Young a hard one to value, what's he worth, a 3rd? If he's worth a third that seems pretty spot on for Carlton

If they throw in the future yes, but I think the value without it is bare minimum for Cerra as is.

If it gets us the two firsts for a second back then it's good

Yeah, I dont think we are getting 6 and 25 for Cerra, uncontracted means we'll take a little hit.

Absolutely best is going to be 6 and 25 with a 3rd going back

If it is then we better get the Clark deal done first otherwise Geelong will ask for 17.

So we pay Cerra, 27 and a future third or 6 and 17?

Carlton pay 6 and 25 for Cerra and Young?
I'd say 6 and 17 for Cerra and 27 is pretty close to 6 and 25 for Cerra and a 3rd, it's probably slightly more so yeah, we might have to chuck in a future pick from somewhere.

My main point is that I think if Young is worth a 3rd then its pretty close to spot on for Carlton
