I said when we win the flag, I hope the club sends her a membership

" North were very, very lucky to win that flag Saturday. If you look at the Richmond out's, Mansell, Garthwaite, Naish, Soldo, Caddy, Parker, Ralphsmith they were very undermanned "

Wilson. Screw her.

I'm coating the card in something Vlad lent me though.
Well… not that I can condone it, you can give her a traditional Rich unhappy greeting…
If you can find a suitable farmer

If Kelly does indeed come via FA then I couldn’t see us targeting Florent. Unless they could envisage a role for him as a speedy half back.

The only way I’d see a need for him is if we lose Dumont via FA or Polec via trade and we don’t get Kelly. In which case there would definitely be some room on a wing for him. I really rate Scott & Taylor but Florent would be a pretty big upgrade on those two as a genuine wingman IMO.
Florent's a talent but not an upgrade on Bailey Scott imo. Of our youngsters, he's the one who will surprise the most. He's a boy adapting to a man's game and when he puts on some size like his old man he'll be a real talent. Huge engine and a quiet tenacity about him. Can see him surging late in games particularly at the G in finals. Tom Powell has similar growth in him.

Florent has been pushed to the outside in that Swans team but I reckon he has the tools to be a quality inside out mid for sure. I reckon he could be as productive as Simpkin in the right environment and I hope is a player that we are keeping a very, very close eye on.

Florent off hb is pretty appealing to me.

Hi folks,
Do you think Trent Dumont will get another contract?
Cheers.

Yeah Riccardi is out of contract
YOUNG GIANT PONDERS NEXT MOVE
GREATER Western Sydney forward Jake Riccardi is weighing up whether to accept a contract offer from the Giants or explore his options elsewhere.

The Giants have been in discussions with Riccardi and his management for several weeks and have tabled a fresh deal for him to stay, however he is yet to commit to signing.

Riccardi emerged at AFL level with five games in the second half of last season but has been reduced to seven matches (including one as the sub) across this year.

The 21-year-old remains stuck behind Harry Himmelberg and recruit Jesse Hogan in attack and was even trialled in defence after a shift in the club's coaching panel heading into 2021.

He has kicked 18 goals from six VFL games this year including a bag of eight majors in round nine against Aspley.

Given the lack of young key forwards on the market, suitors in Riccardi's home state of Victoria are expected to closely track his end to the season.

Riccardi is seen as a long-term prospect at the Giants having been picked up as a mature-age draftee in 2019.

"In terms of Jake and his progression, (we're) obviously really happy as a second-year key forward," recruiting boss Adrian Caruso told the Road to the Draft podcast last week.

"He probably burst onto the scene a bit last year and we were rapt with that, but he's probably gone through some challenges this year and he's developing away in the VFL.

"He's working on some parts of his game that are going to hold him in good stead in the long run.

"That's what we've tried to do this year, not fast-track him or anything because of how he played last year or because we might've needed that in our team this year, it's more, 'Let's look long-term with Jake and have an approach that's going to help him three, four, five years down the track'."

Riccardi won the Fothergill-Round-Mitchell Medal in 2019 as the best young talent in the VFL after 38 goals for Werribee. – Mitch Cleary

Love the talent but where does he fit in in the long run? Especially if the rumours about Kelly are true.

LDU, Simpkin, Powell, Phillips, TT, Stevo, Scott, Lazzaro, Curtis Taylor is moving up the ground, Horne/Callaghan, Josh Kelly?

That's a fairly deep wing/midfield group. Also, my understanding is that Florent is contracted? I'd assume we'd need to give away a fair bit for him considering he was a first rounder and has shown a fair bit.

Just can't see how he fits in and how it gets done but wouldn't complain if we got it done for the right price.
Any danger Ned guy hasd moved the swans? Then we’d be a chance.

Word is we havent been in contact with Riccardi. Blues, pies, * interested, wants to go to a big club. * supporter growing up

Massive red flag, do not touch.
