So Jones is our only quick player?

Right...

I'd say he's our only really noticeably fast player who actually puts it on the park. Guys that are quick and don't use it aren't quick. Guys like Howard are quick for their size but a lot of our pace isn't utilised. Kent is supposed to be a fast player but looks stodgy. Butler can get away from players but he needs to wind up. You are better to use the ball quick any way. I think Snags is slow of foot but quick of mind and I'd take him over Butler any day.

They are a bit of both, they move the ball fast and run in waves but have a few quicker types too. Jones is quick at the Saints but over all we aren't a pacy side. Even Byrnes is not as quick on the field as he tests. Melbourne move the ball fast and seem to be quick decision makers these days which was a big turn around.
It will come with time and experience. Our group of mids hasn't had the time to gel that the leading teams have had.

So Hill, McKenzie, Sinclair aren't quick?

If Butler isn't quick no one is.

Butler is quick once he's moving but does top speed quickly, Hill is quick enough but you rarely see him take off with a player in pursuit. He more runs all day making options. McKenzie doesn't look speedy to me.

You're happy with our pace?
I'd love another quick mid but I don't really see pace an overall issue, no.

We were regarded as the fastest team in the comp last year.

We need guys building bigger tanks.

As I said, Melbourne don't have more pace then us, they just now have a much fitter, harder running team.

Suggesting Hill, Butler and McKenzie aren't quick is a bit of a laugh.

They seem to have looked for pace and run, Hunt, Pickett and Spargo all seem quick. Sparrow looks pretty fast and Bowey has toe. I think they have targeted a few more recently because they were known as a slow side. They get good all day run from guys like Langdon too.

Only if you live a free kebab at the other end of the ground. campaigner runs on the spot like Fred Flintstone.
He is quick.

probably the worst pair of hands I have ever seen though. Literally, I get surprised when he marks one

That's exactly the same as we did with our recruiting in 2019 when we traded in Hill, Butler and Jones and drafted Byrnes.

I find it funny that you list those guys as fast but the ones I listed aren't.

No point arguing I guess.

Our pace is fine... our ball use that makes us look treacle slow is the issue. And that's due to a bit of game plan & a bit of personnel IMO.

It's fine but I'd like more speed, I think we have a bad combo, messy skills, poor fitness and lack of speed out of the middle.
