Ladhams knowing Lade from Port and being one his first coaches will be a big factor him coming to St Kilda and we all know we need a ruck and he is the best available.
The time he probably spent with Paddy wouldnt have hurt I dont imagine either

Ladhams would push Paddy or Marshall out by years end.
Anyone thinking Ryder will be able to play 22 games and finals are dreaming.
We don't want a repeat of this year , the only sticking point is we don't have anything to trade and we can't afford to touch our picks we have now.
Can only hope we get something for Ross if he walks , or else we will end up.

His stats look pretty good

● 17 disps (9 kicks 8 hballs), 6 marks, 4 tackles, 23 hitouts and a goal in Rd 22 95-pt win over Carlton at Adelaide Oval (14 Aug 2021)
● 17 disps (13 kicks 4 hballs), 5 marks, 6 hitouts and 2 goals in Rd 19 28-pt win over Collingwood at Marvel Stadium (23 Jul 2021)
● 20 disps (11 kicks 9 hballs), 4 marks, 21 hitouts and 2 goals in Rd 11 46-pt win over Fremantle at Adelaide Oval (30 May 2021)
● 21 disps (12 kicks 9 hballs), 9 marks and 10 hitouts in Rd 10 1-pt win over Collingwood at the MCG (23 May 2021)
● 18 disps (14 kicks 4 hballs), 3 marks and 37 hitouts in Rd 9 19-pt loss to the Western Bulldogs at Adelaide Oval (15 May 2021)

When you cherry pick the best they do, Premo!

Ladhams would push Marshall out? On what planet or universe?

Maybe they meant Ladhams would fit the ruck spot better and Marshall will spend more time forward. Paddy would be nursed through the year, as would Marshall to a lesser degree if his niggles persist... we could protect Marshall a little longer (more durability) if he's forward.

The Ladhams stuff is a smokescreen.

Apart from a post by Saints TV there is literally no mention of Ladhams being linked to the club, and frankly it doesn't fit with the type of ruckman we would be interested in.

I'm quite frankly sick of the pages being wasted on this fraud.

Sitting waiting for Saints TV to respond and advise where they heard such rumours or if they were just making it up for coverage.

I think people are underrating a Marshall / Ladhams pairing IMO.
BTW - all this talk of having too many talls, don't we need depth? It's not like we're calling for them all to play. I'd rather have incredible players just waiting around for a game over delisted 30 year olds FMD.

Ming, Bing, Sharman, Marshall are the future - Membrey won't be around forever either. Paddy definitely won't be here past next year, half a season worth of games will be a win for the great man. Midfield is obviously our most important area of improvement but you can never have too many quality big men.

EDIT: I understand the Ladhams talk is purely from one rumour, not taking it as gospel haha. Just chiming into the convo.

This idea of ladhams sounds good , but what happens if we do trade in Ben King? Teams can’t carry heaps of talls.

Looks like the club is pretty set on having another ruck to partner Marshall, and neither Bing or Ming have shown any signs of playing second ruck.

So presumably the lineup would be three 200cm key forwards (Ming + Bing + Marshall) and another 200cm guy playing ruck. Seems a bit silly to me but if we grab Bing then I guess that's what we'll have.

If Ben comes to St Kilda he plays either CHF or FF with Max , Marshall or another ruck take the #1 ruck position.
Any injuries to any of them the other tall fills it.

And we a a season next year to play out even before Ben King becomes available.
This season when we played Carlton and Silvagni was out rucking against Punter and Marshall showed we needed another ruck and Paddy we all know is one of the best but when your petrol empty light comes on and and you have 30kms to go to fill up again you know you will not make it , but some on here do.

Ladhams likes to party apparently.

If its true, I hope it comes out before trade time.

Another Brad Crouch cheapie coming up - 4th rounder!!!

If they trade Marshall out that'd just about be the last straw for me after all these years of disgraceful drafting and trading.

I would say if we want Bing next year then GC will want a player like Marshall plus a first rounder, at least.

Would the club do it, that will be very interesting, will Gags roll over like Wells did for Jeremy.

We really need a Back-Ruck and not a Ruck-FWD, has that every successfully worked?

Marshall 60% ruck, 40% FWD/rest
Player X 40% ruck, 60% Back/rest

God knows who that player is.
Howard, Wilkie, Highmore and Coffield is enough height to cover art times

3 late first rounders, but two mid second rounders back. I never understood why the media skips the full deal.
