If that happened speculation would really ramp up about Clarkson. Rightly or wrongly.

Ratten is going to be under real pressure next year. Last year of his contract.

I’m not sure if Bolton is still at Hawthorn.
I think the pressure on the coach is a good thing, as you wouldnt want to have an underwhelming season next year and be coming out of contract. There will be a few well credentialed coaches getting around at the end of 2022 - Clarko, Buckley, Lyon, Scott, plus the regular bridesmaids. Clarko in particular already has a connection with Rath, Roughead, Lade, McGlynn.

If he can't play HBF , he can't play midfield. He's quick, so on the wing could be a spot he could potentially move to but playing HBF should be an easier role.
Winning contested ball was listed as a weakness and i don't think he's improved that.

I could see Paton in the midfield before Coffield.
Agree on the first sentence.

Forget finals for the next 5 years if we have players like Paton in the midfield.........

Well if Roughie's on the boundary then that's the furthest and safest place for him to be.

Payne signed a three year extension earlier this year. Would be a quick turnaround to want to leave a few months later.
Have only got him on the books until 2022- Footywire info??? A back up for Andrews but has not been picked for the finals even with McStay out.

haha...spot on. Still cant work out how he broke his Fib and his Tib.........useless big sonk.......but then, we would not have seen the rebirth of Jimmy W.

Didn't he just sign a long term deal a couple of months back?

I'd love to get him but it would be a big turn around.
Just the latest whispers from club land

No but seriously that's all I was told, apparently he is under contract so who knows

We had a real crack last year. Not surprising we’re going again but we were told last year that he’s happy in his home state playing for the club he supported as a kid.
I think he would be a very solid player if we did manage to get him.

Just up on the AFL site...

Bit of a surprise.

I've met him a couple of times through coaching forums. He's a pretty interesting dude and seems pretty driven.

Not sure if he's going to be any good or not in this role though. I hope so.

He has a history with Gubby Allen which may have had something to do with his appointment

I really think we should have selected Petracca, what do you think?

Nah there was this fat diabetic bloke that wasn't quite KPF size that seemed too good to pass up, because something about Tom Boyd and was he the one that brought outstanding leadership or was he the good club man?

Not sure about Daniel Howe, he played a couple of good games this year for Hawks. Think he was BOG in one game , might have been Tassie. Good size midfielder OOC Anyone have any misgivings?

Anyone against enticing the Parker trade is a moron. In his prime. top 10 midfielder in the comp. We'll get 3 elite years out of him as a minimum. We're in our window now. Go all in or bust.

I've been gone from paying attention to this board for a while. It's time people start forming their own opinions and not follow the St***#4 types.
