On our trajectory it's highly likely we won't have access to him.
There's merits to trading out of the pick.
We already have long line of young developing players who can't get a game.

If say Dunkley and Rankine were wanting to come you'd do the deal.

See what I mean... WeeBlake

Isaac Heeney clone..

Enough of that game Sturt vs Norwood now watching West vs North....first goal to you guessed it ....Big Tom Scully

Interesting to see how West's U18's go today without their number 1 playmaker Kobe Ryan upgraded to the Reserves this week.

Tom Scully up to 3.1 from his 4 kicks 3 marks...playing on one of our NGA indigenous lads mostly Port Augusta's Brandon Jackson-Martin who's giving away a bit of height but battling manfully, too good for Scully once the ball hits the deck. Other NGA's Whyalla's Ethan Walker and Port Augusta's Isaac Keeler playing also. Keeler done very little, getting beaten in ruck by big Harry Barnett.

How is Keeler going this year?

Just average so far IMO, has the talent and top end athleticism but not too sure about his mindset....doesn't show enough aggression at the contest condidering the size advantage he has against most of the U18's lads he's playing against. Harry Barnett is pantsing Keeler today when he plays in the ruck, moves Keeler off the ball too easy.

Still likely to go before we could match.

Probably goes higher than he should more on what he could become if everything went right with his development than what he's currently producing.

On current output I wouldn't use a 1st round pick on him.

I'll tell you what Keeler's not...a ruckman, Barnett has slaughtered him today, insipid effort by Keeler in ruck, clearly hasn't got his heart in it, basically uncompetitive in ruck to 3/4 time.

Scully with 6 goals to 3/4 time. but I'd have to say not particularly impressive today to my eye.

I'll watch the last quarter later tonight..

George Kramer

Head on over to the draft board and have look at who ModernArtillery has selected with our 2nd pick in the big footy mid season draft.....Good judge that MA bloke....:p
I'm not making any assessment on the quality of the player so I don't know why you think that matters. My point was being Tasmanian and with a Tasmanian club likely to enter, I would be staying away from any Tassie lads. But lets hope they take Hamish's boy Chayce, we might yet make something out of drafting him if we get compo.

They could announce a tassie footy team today and it will still be a few years away

Didn't we lose Davis and Bock to new teams and didn't get anything in return?

It wouldn't be any different for Tassie.

What if that mid is <183cm?
No issue with that.

Sure, Bont and Cripps are great, but there are plenty of great <183cm mids, who would walk into our side.

3-4cm doesn't make or break a midfielder.

I'd take a Voss and Ablett Jnr, who were a couple of handy sub 183 players. I don't think they'd struggle in today's game.

Give me someone who has some acceleration, is hard at it, can tackle, and can use the ball well (decision making and execution).
