1. delist and payout moose
2. retire and payout seed
is the most logical
would also be very happy to delist and payout murphy if they want to keep seed and see if he ok

We may not have room in the 2022 salary cap to pay out Seedsman. Note that we're already paying out Brown in the 2022 cap.

So can anyone explain the Turner drafting? Any defence at all?

Absolutely shambolic decision, especially when we were clearly in need of a KPD or ruck at the time.

But no, we just kept playing Doedee sore and undersized on the oppo ruckman and persisted with a struggling ROB, or Strachan who wasn’t up to it.

Then don’t bother playing Turner at all for the remainder of the season, not even a look in to see if he could make any impact at the level.

If we dont have room in this years salary cap to pay out seedsman then that makes Reid and co look even more incompetent… if that is actually possible.

Either we're picking him up as a rookie (expected) or this was purely to try to jag a SANFL flag.

As has been pointed out, many times before - we've turned over our list massively in the last few years. Now is the time to see which of our kids develop into AFL players, and which don't. It's not time for cutting the kids before they've had a chance to develop.

What does that have to do with us only having a 2nd and a 3rd at this year's draft?

Why don’t we have the room? We delisted three today and lost Brown and Frampton And only picked up Rankine. By my calculations, that gives us four spots?

Need to upgrade both Butts and Strachan to the main list.

Unfortunately the AFL only gave us one first rounder this year

Strachan can be delisted to open up spot. If nobody else is there in the rookie draft and he’s still available we can re draft.
And if ROB goes down next year?..

Whos our Ruckman?..

Some unproven 18 year old draftee?.. TT?.. Himmelburg??..

Yeah.. no thanks.

And I’d rather get rid of ROB before strawnie!.

The risk is waaaay too high that we'd be gazumped, with another club drafting him before we can re-draft him - as happened to GC with Greenwood. Strachan has shown enough at AFL level to attract the attention of other clubs, and AFL ruckmen don't grow on trees.

Note that our only other rucks are ROB, Berg and TT - so the inability to re-draft him would leave our ruck stocks in a perilous state, to say the least.

Murphy and McHenry suck just as much as Rowe (for different reasons) but we were dumb enough to sign them up again so Rowe cops it instead.
That's my only issue with Rowe going. I'm not upset he's gone, I'm upset the others are still there. Murphy at least showed he can pinch hit in the midfield. I'm still at a complete loss as to what we think McHenry is going to become.

Rowe unfortunately a long way down the pecking order now though with Rachele and Rankine.

I think our current situation requires a Spackler transcript Drugs Are Bad Mackay?

I’d love to be a fly on the wall if Roo, Reid and Kelly were asked to explain our plans to the board. This is my half arsed attempt.

“We don’t have list spots, so we are going to have to delist a player and put them on the rookie list”
“That means someone might pick them up right if they are any good?”
“Well we plan on doing it to Seeds, no one will want him”
“What you mean the guy who suffered concussion whilst employed by us and has been dealing with it all year? You want to do that to him?”
“Ok Strachan then”
“But we don’t have a back up ruck. Plus I’m a little confused, why don’t we have list spots?”
“Most of our squad is contracted”
“So this has been your strategy all along? Delist a contracted player and move them to the rookie list? What was the strategy if we got Hopper, JHF or another decent player?”
“No we were hoping someone would take one of our contracted players we didn’t want. As for those players, get real, we can only focus on one player at a time and we were busy with Rankine arguing about a late pick swap”
“Oh that’s reassuring, why didn’t anyone want our contracted players”
“They aren’t very good, no one wanted them”
“But you thought they were good enough to give a contract to beyond this year?”
“Ummm yep, but on the bright side we won’t have this problem next year, we have lots of players out of contract”
“Oh that’s a positive, so you’ve got average players we can delist, lucky none of the good ones will be out of contract, give me some names”
“Well Fog is on the list, but he’s only had half a decent season”

Olsen “So in summary, we’ve got no list spots, meaning we have to delist a player. You relied on a club wanting our duds you rated enough to give contracts too. You’ve left one of our hottest properties uncontracted at the end of next year and you can’t manage going for more than one recruit at a time.
You clowns are ****ing useless, get me Jason Cripps

We knew Matt Crouch and Hately would be ineligible for SANFL finals so drafted Turner to improve our chances of a SANFL flag
Nah, we didn’t have the list spot to take someone like Charmichael and we fought we’d move players on, we couldn’t, so we are hamstrung.

I am just amazed that seed hasnt been told to put the tools down and retire..

Just ridiculous for him and the club for seed to even consider trying to keep going. He needs to consider the next 50 years of his life over, and instead of, the next two.

Not only is he at a massive risk if he gets another head knock..

But he’s in his twilight years anyway… and he’s just missed a whole year of football and could barely even train..

It will take him another whole year before he catches back up and gets a anywhere near back to his best football.

Its over for him and no one at the club seems to have the courage to break it to him.

Meanwhile here the club is stretched for list spots.

Who’s fxxking running the show down there?

Note: dont get me wrong here.. seed has been one of my favourite players of the last few years..

Dollars is the problem . He has a contract which won’t fit in this years cap
