The issue is when we play Ryan in that role and bring a third KPD in we look slow coming out of the backline.

Chapman has been less consistent than Young, but he still plays that role. The 436 metres gained against Melbourne when we played them in Round 11, or his perfomance against the Bulldogs in the EF.

Nope, Chapman plays how his opponent lets him play. Sometimes it’s lockdown, sometimes his opponent plays further up the ground. Young starts at h/b every game & gets the easiest defensive match up.

That's what we got Clark for but he isn't doing it. He marks and stands even when he doesn't have to. Wilson does it.

At some point we need to prepare our players for what will be their role with the most impact, Chapman building the size will make him a better defender next season and projecting him into a Bontempelli clone (which I think he could be) is where I think the team gets maximum benefit out of him.

Listening to SEN waiting for a smidge of trade news but I've learnt a LOT more about where the Queen's is rather than where AFL players are moving.

That's a good point, the running loads alone might be too much for his body.

I think if we want news on Logue/Acres et al we need to hurry up and get the Jackson trade request in. Then we can finalise our offer to Jackson before settling our offers to the out of contract players.

Personally I think if we make our final offer to Acres and he still requests a trade, Logue will squeeze the extra 50-100k out of us that Colin Young is angling for
