Need to hold Lobb to his contract. If he wants to sit out the year, then too bad. I'd honestly rather get nothing for him than get Schache.

As for his partner, it would be pretty easy for her to work out of Perth. Desk jobs don't require you to be a specific place. I used to work in an office and now I am allowed to work from home, and my dad isn't even the CEO. If she needs to hobnob with horse snobs, then spare me. Dad can fly her in and out. And the spring racing carnival is mostly aligned with the AFL off-season (some overlap with finals).

Some of that is luck of the draw. GWS' plight this year wasn't foreseen and every chance it could happen to someone else around us (maybe even us) next year. We got the Saints at both bad and good times. The WC x2 is a constant.

We played the premier x2 and had an insanely stacked run to the last two rounds (and imagine if GWS did get it together this year).
Yes it is the luck of the draw but you said you weren't sure our fixture could be tougher next year, and I'm saying I'm sure it could

It would be roughly twice what he is being paid now on his first contract extension, and I think we can pay him $1,200,000 in the first year.
Both those things might be true. Do you think if he's gettable then a long term deal averaging $800k a year does it?

I’m sure we had conversations with managers of a lot of forwards. The comment from Sweeney was we had a conversation with Schaches management at the beginning of the year. I doubt we had a second conversation watching him play this year.

The difference with Brodie was Brodie was tearing it up in the VFL and GC prioritised their young midfield early draft picks.

The fact that Bruce got a game off ordinary form and Cordy in the backline shows just lowly WB consider Schache.

I maintain this if he is selected it will be as a rookie. My prediction is a Vic club will add him as a DFA and he will spend the year in the VFL.

Logues position is defence but third in line there. Not the greatest forward, neither is Jackson but would push Logue back out of the 22.
He’s third in line at North too.
Just doesn’t pass the pub test, losing 3 best 22 players, 4 including Mundy

Tougher draw, a developing forward line, light on key defenders - I don’t see us making the 8 next year, but 2024 onwards hopefully

Neither. Think this is far too much for the depth to take. Would’ve been okay with Mundy and Lobb leaving but forcing out Logue and Acres during a sustainable period is overboard. Meek, Tucker even more so. Can only do so much with draft picks.
Unless Marie bodies coming in, 2023 will be a reality check for fans

They can try, but the luck of the draw can trash that easy. This year's was up there via the luck of the draw is all. Probably the equivalent for a side finishing top 6 last year.

Medium/Long term? As a key forward? No.
As a key defender? Yes.

He'll be 23 in a couple of months - I think putting seven years on the table would balance out the lesser money with the higher security. So yes, as a key forward, for the very long term.

As it is for Jackson.

If lobb wants to get back to melb city
Say to him you go to melb as part of the Jackson deal or stay at the dockers

I feel like I’m a decent judge of character.

I was a member of the hate Acres fan club with Yeti as President.

Always said Lobb is a merc.

And Logue well, he’s a helluva man-child athlete. Can’t blame him for taking 200k extra.

Good riddance to all of them.
Now do Henry

Sorry to hear Rory is "upset about the clubs stance re his trade request".
Personally I was upset when he missed that easy shot at goal early in last weeks match infront of a massive hometown crowd.
I was also upset that he didn't go hard at the ball and gave away cheap free kicks.

Eagles, GWS and St Kilda twice? I reckon they can make it worse, watch this space

You get locked in to your third of the seasons ladder when the fixtures are drawn for next year.
Gws we’re not expected to drop off that much, eagles maybe.

We are guaranteed to get eagles twice next year. We may have a bottom 6 team twice. We will play a middle 6 team 2 or 3 times and a top 6 team 2 or 3 times.

Im actually not against get Schache at the right price. We picked up Will Brodie and turned him around. Lets do the same for schache 🤗
