Out: Stocker (inj), ?
In: Williams, Hewett

Possibly Kemp for Plowman if we want someone who plays a little taller but Plow was decent tonight.

Don’t be surprised if Young gets sighted. Don’t think Williams will get up.

Out: Stocker, Cotterel
In: Hewett, Dow
So you want Dow to be the sub?

Outs: Stocker, Newnes
Ins: Williams, Hewett

Cotts can stay sub.

Do it again Dow, Fisher played well enough to keep his spot.

prefer newnes plays. he was very good.
He wasn't. He got absolutely torched in the first half by Stephenson who was north's best on ground and kept them in the game especially in the second quarter.

He got better in the second half but the centre square mids never let north get the ball by then so he hardly had any real work to do, although he was better in the second.

Against a better team though, he would've been exposed far more often.

i feel comfortable when he plays. he plays with physicality. has a penetrating kick. works hard.

never going to be an AA but he is a good honest player imo.

he may get squeezed out of seniors with younger guys coming thru but i was happy with his performance.

Adelaide actually play a bit similar to us - very reliant on winning clearances - so we will need to dial up the physicality to beat them.

I also imagine Adelaide are going to come out hard after a poor loss so it will be a good test to see if our skills with the ball can hold up against some heat.

Someone comes out for Hewett if he’s fit - most likely Stocker if his shoulder injury is serious - but other than that I wouldn’t be in a hurry to make too many other changes.

A must win game!

Selection will be interesting. I think Plowman stays on that performance and Williams comes in for Stocker.

Not sure what to do with Carroll. Would be easy to say drop Newnes but he did okay and Carroll didnt really play wing at all. Hewett obviously has to come back. Someone will be unlucky.

OUT: Stocker (Inj) :cryv1:
IN: Kemp/Williamson/Williams/Dow/Hewett

Everyone contributed and played their roles this week...
Only changes I can see happening are Stocker (inj) and maybe Cottrell (Sub)...

For us to beat Adelaide our midfield need to keep mobile and creating options like the second half tonight, stop blind bombing out of our defensive half...

If we play like the second half today... We should not only beat Adelaide but get our first win on the road this year...

Both our wingmen and theirs were swapping sides, so Stephenson was gaining touches on both LOB and Newnes. Many of our players had poor 1st halves, Doc was turning the ball over with every touch early on.

Newnes played his role, multiple times, even working hard to spoil Larkey at one point. If Newnes comes out, which I doubt, it would have to be for one of Cerra of Walsh starting on a wing

He has none of those things, his kicking is passable when it's a set shot, his field kicking is sub par. He loses contests regularly and was burnt terribly in the first.

Against a good team that could win the ball and feed Stephenson more he and by extension carlton were toast.

There are already players ready to take his spot.

Williamson kicked 3 off the wing and is far more physical and a far more penetrating kick.

Hewett needs to come back in, as does Williams.

I’ll be fairly salty if Plowman loses his spot.

He doesn’t have the weapons McGovern does. But he’s well above Parks as the third tall/medium defender.
Yep. Plowman is a solid footballer. 2020/first half of 2021 he was clear best 22. Back to his tonight.

Miles ahead of Parks who's a bit of a headless chook atm.

Going to be a hard one for selectors.

Stocker is obviously going to be out. Cotrell out (sub)

Hewitt in for sure.

Has anyone got work on Williams? Did he do something today? Carrying it over from last week? Will he even be right for next week?

Dow staking his claims.. but how do we bring in 2 mids next week, Hewitt and Dow, without dropping Carroll. No way Carroll gets dropped after that.
