Gov.....has been under injury cloud entire careerI’ll be fairly salty if Plowman loses his spot.
He doesn’t have the weapons McGovern does. But he’s well above Parks as the third tall/medium defender.
It's been a mixed bag against the Crows - Head to Head Between Carlton and Adelaide - FinalSiren.com
But we are a better team, with more and better match winners.
Lock in the win.
Hold on. Beating Richmond and bulldogs is meaningless when we do it but when Adelaide do it, it's good form?Poor game vs GWS but their form before that was good beating Richmond and Bulldogs.
Hard to know what to really take away from last week apart from the 4 points. A competent team would've smashed Norf by 80+. That said, we're 5-2 and I'm happy to see the boys build upon that. We'll need to come with a couple of ruck rotations as RO will run TDK into the ground pretty quickly.
Only a couple of changes.
B: Plowman, Young, Newman
HB: Williams, Weitering, Saad
C: Walsh, Cripps, Carroll
HF: Hewett, C.Curnow, Martin
F: Silvagni, McKay, Owies
R: De Koning, Kennedy, Cerra
IC: Durdin, Fisher, Newnes, Docherty
Sub: Cottrell
Out: Stocker (inj), O'Brien
In: Williams, Hewett
CARROLL STAYS IN no matter what !!!
Hewett an auto pick and Williams ( Stocker) too if fit so looking like Newnes the unlucky one?
Dow is knocking the door down also, maybe Durdin, been quiet for a couple now and could possibly do with run in the VFL
and we re jig things a little up front and on ball. Love to see it.
Paddy could come straight in and have as much or even more influence/impact than Carroll IMO.
Rotate Carroll/LOB/Walsh on the wings ... with Carroll and Walsh rotating into the midfield
Doc Weiters Plow
Saad Young Newman
LOB Cripps Walsh
TDK Hewett Cerra
Fisher Charlie Martin
Durdin Harry Owies
JSOS Kennedy Carrol Williamson
out: stocker (inj) newnes cottrell
I dont think Williams is best 22 anymore.

Sort of agree as we’re still trying to nail the game plan.North are up and down from week to week and probably should’ve beaten the swans.
5-8 is our range 12-14 wins.
BTW Don’t see Lob being dropped.

It's not 2 changes though unless Williams or Hewett is the sub. You've got another to drop to sub.Stocker / Cotts --> Williams / Hewett makes complete sense
Just wondering if you could list the games that aren't "danger games"? Are they called that because we are supposed to win? Us? Drives me quite batty. This is a danger game. I’m glad we play them over here.
I really want us to be 9-5, or at worst 8-6, after Rd 15. Apart from a couple of games that should be 'easy wins' (not that we really do 'easy wins' yet), our last 8 games will test us. Sad we don't play Lions or Dees sooner to really test us...We are still a 11-13 wins side, but we have started better than I expected after 7 rounds

It seems, internally, the club believes they will be a much better outfit towards the end of the year than they are now, judging by comments made. That was a fair assessment before the season started, not now.
That presumes there are 7 -10 teams better than us - not so.
And we will only get better...
totally agree on team maturity aspect. as much as i was happy with that win we can still see there is a bit more to learn. getting into top 8 this year will be a huge step and we are well on track to achieve this. we should develop nicely from here on in. voss is saying all the right things. It seems, internally, the club believes they will be a much better outfit towards the end of the year than they are now, judging by comments made.
As frustrating as it was with our last quarter last night, despite the dominance, we still have so much maturity to go. The players should have changed it up going inside 50 to get through the extra defenders they set up. The effort was there but the maturity to think through it will take a while.
