I have received some information attributable to a reliable former contributor to BigFooty with sources at a Victorian club. Please take all rumors with a grain of salt.

1. Izak Rankine has indicated to other clubs very recently that he wants to return home, the Crows are leading the race and have the most interest

2. A Victorian club has interest in Tariek Newchurch

3. Max Michalanney has been receiving a lot of interest from other clubs and is highly rated, but the Crows are a certainty to get him

I believe all of that

Spoke to one recruiter who said their club had Michaelanny v high ( higher than me and I rate him alot)

Heard same re Adelaide clubs and Rankine including Port offering a huge contract , hoping Rankine prefers to play at crows like Dawson did

Would that make the Crows offseason something like this...

1) Rankine - what will it take to get him off GC?
2) Highest draft pick used for a midfielder?
3) Michaelanny - I know nothing about him but seems to be rated around these parts, what's he likely to cost us?

Other possible moves:

• Crouch traded out for a packet of chips.
• McAsey traded out for whatever we can get.

IF our first rounder is involved (I somewhat doubt it would have to be), i guess it would look like:

Rankine + 8
for
4 + 25?

Values him at pick 13, which seems a bit rich for an uncontracted small forward

Would be one of the hottest priority south aussies on the market since ……. Dawson

Pick 13 sounds right , they might also want a player to take Rory Atkins spot haha

I have to say I'd be pretty annoyed to lose Newchurch, even if we were to land Rankine.

The closest I hope Dawson ever gets to the midfield is the wing, he's the guy to finish off the grunt guys work not inside the contest.

Thats where I want him to play and with Worrell playing so well, when Doedee returns there is no reason to play Dawson in defence.
