I say keep Pick 1 and take Cadman. Too good an opportunity to miss.

Keep JHF and then forge a friendly long term rivalry between these two to see who's the best.

In my opinion if we end up with neither of our Pick 1's we will look back with regret.
This for me also

Unless port finally cough up a decent young player

A lot of posters resigned to rolling over to Port, and I’m not sure why.

As it gets closer to Wed 7:30pm, our hand only increases in strength.

I would assume Brady and friends have no need to get involved into intricate 6 team deals.

As far am I’m aware we would be happy to keep JHF and Pick 1. We will entertain deals if they’re the right price, but I do not believe we are on the front foot seeking them out.

So Port need to be making all the moves (which doesn’t involve using the media as their PR machine) and likewise GWS with Pick 1.

WE DONT HAVE TO SETTLE FOR ANYTHING - if the price ain’t right we move on.

It’s because McGowan has jumped on this six trade crap.

Depends who we actually ranked higher in the first place. If we always ranked Wardlaw higher and he is still available at 3, we end up and with Wardlaw plus 12 & 15 on top for free?

From twoomys tweet it looks like 12 is on passed to

There's plenty of value out there with the teams we are dealing with. I'm sure something decent will get done. I think we need to deal JHF out this year. Not sure there's any benefit for us to not do it.

tired over it GIF

what's that? still not good enough eh bye call again later with better.

Rinse, repeat until Wednesday and if Judas Escariot-Francis stays, he stays.

I think JHF asking for a trade in 2022 is actually a blesssing for you.

Beside who wants a Guy who doesnt want to be at the club and now his price is high.

Id be asking for pick 2 and 19, plus a secind roound pick in 2023. Plus keep all your picks.

1. Cadman
2. Sheezel
19. Hotton

What a draft .... Should set up your corr base for years to come.

Now i just hope my Hawks can pick up another late first round pick.

Anyway i think Clarko will be back soon and you have an exciting ride ahead.

Sounds good however GWS hold Pick#19 so how do we get that pick without giving them pick #1 which they want..Its better for us to get WC pick#2 with Ports future 1st pick and hopefully a player also but not Bonner...

I wouldn't be shocked if we are gunning for something like this:

1. JHF to Port for pick 2, future 1st and steak knives. It's up to Port to satisfy WCE with a suitable package to get pick 2.

2. Pick 1 to GWS for pick 3, pick 12 and pick 19. Use of later 3rd or 4th rnd picks to balance as they see fit.

3. Pick 19 to Sts for Clark. Its a valuable pick being the first live pick on night 2 of draft. Probably about 5 picks later than Sts would want, probably about 5 picks earlier than we would want to give. Feels like a compromise for both.
I like this HTR. Sequencing is important. We need pick 2 first (to guarantee Wardlaw), so I wouldn't want us to make the GWS trade until Port have settled the Pick 2 from WCE. If we're not taking Cadman, we need to secure both Wardlaw and Sheezel.

And if we want Cadman then we MUST keep pick 1 or get GWS to say that they will not pick Cadman if we gave them Pick#1 IN WRITING!!!!!!

Good post.
Its actually realistic.

There talking about mega trade, thats ports problem to get it or come up with an alternate that makes your Roo's happy.

We may just very well want off the JHF rollercoaster FWIW
agree with this

i've never got much of a 'we're happy to keep him, he's a required player' type of vibe from any of the official club comms around this. it feels very much like we'd be happy to be rid of him but still have to protect his value

Mega trade would have to include a clause stating GWS WILL NOT take Cadman with their first pick...:)
