Rival clubs have been made aware of North Melbourne’s openness to trading Pick 3 in a deal that would see the Roos appropriately compensated.

So having read the article what they’re saying is all clubs are open to trading picks and moving up the order or shuffling back. Investigative journalism at its finest. Stay tuned for their next article on how every club would like to win a premiership.

That’s the problem with You Tube highlights, everyone’s getting so excited because he’s quick but they don’t see his deficiencies until of course when we draft him and they’ll be whinging every week that opposition players run off him because he doesn’t run both ways.
Ok I’m just at pains keeping up with what we should go for. The idea for north drafting a top 5 inside mid and an outside mid sounds too good to be true. Almost like we’re gws of 2010’s.

But it sounds like the medium forward in Sheezel and the inside mid in Wardlaw is the way to go?

In terms of developing. Inside mids we’ve got: Jy, LDU, Willphil, Powell.

Outside: Scott, Goater?, Taylor?

Small forwards: Curtis, Ford

It’s a tough one. In terms of needs analysis. You’d almost says Sheezel and Tsatas makes sense. But we can never have enough mids who can show some goal scoring nous, which Wardlaw shows. This is ****ed.

Granted. GWS could pick any of them an it would butcher the whole thing.

Edit: when the **** did the word change ‘cactus’ become a thing?

I think we just have to go best available with 2 and 3 and for me that’s Sheezel and Wardlaw by a fair margin.

I missed the memo on cactus 🌵 so I’m going to stick with * I like the duality of it because we can say that * are * with Brad Scott as coach.

Aside from Wardlaw them others may just be shitmen.

Think about it .

Maybe Rawlings has developed the shitmen radar.

We don’t need a mid sized fwd any more than we need another Bailey Scott.

Interesting times I’d suggest.

Oh well as we say

I said this in the draft thread but if we arent excited by Wardlaw (I am, but whatever) and we want to take Tsatas to fill a need on the wing then I would prefer Hollands and the Saints F1.

I rank Tsatas higher, but every draft pick is a roll of the dice. I have Tsatas 5th in this draft and I have Hollands 7th.

That Saints F1 could be ****ing gold.

Having said that, just give me Wardlaw and Sheezel.

So in one thread ppl are losing their s**t that we may trade pick 3.
In another thread ppl are losing their s**t we won’t pick sheezel/ wardlaw combo

I thought supporting a sports team was meant to be fun
Who's having fun? This hasnt ever been fun!

Laugh GIF

Yeah if we want a pure wingman I rate Hollands highrr

Xerri contracted 2034.

Cant mark. Can't kick. Can't handball.

Plays footy like a Driver is required on the green not a Putter.

Has no idea.

You act like every team has had champion backup ruckmen, over the last 30 years. Mark Blake won a flag, as did Aaron Keating. Ivan Soldo, Mark Seaby, Mike Pyke, as well. Didn't Stephen Doyle also play in a GF with Sydney? X might be this, but he might be better. Who knows?

What are you expecting, out of X?

CCJ & X will hopefully form a long term ruck partnership, let's just see.

He's 23, had a fair few coaches, rucks take a lot longer to develop...and he's had some fairly significant injuries, for a big fella.

I like a ruck that has a bit of campaigner about him, to be honest. Let's see the oppo mids with sh*t running down their legs, around stoppages.

Don’t we get after the trade period that “appropriately compensated” means what it says now? Door is open but the offer would have to be very good.
In my defence it is subjective don’t forget we have effectively downgraded two pick 1s for this , I’m concerned further trade will dilute the value further. The top
picks aren’t worth a collection of ok picks

Let me be clear KC, I don’t rate any of them bar Crowden and to a lesser extent Stocker. I just know that the rookie spots are being used for sh**men so hoping we get the semi decent ones.
Brother we can’t pick many of those DFA’s as rookies because we have Mahony and Spicer to add to those spots plus potentially more.
There may be room for literally one

I've heard we're trading pick 3 to Essendon for pick 4. Yep, that's the whole trade. It's classic Brady and I feel sick about it.

What the f*** is the point of a straight swap for a single position?

There’d have to be more to it.

22 aswell and future 2nd

So:
Out - 3
In - 4, 22, f2

Seems like a decent return for moving back 1 spot.
