I'd assume they'd be coming up with a million different strategies dependant on what the AFL gives us in terms of PPs.
Picks 1, 55 & whatever give them SFA in terms of ability to do anything.
Safe to assume we'll all be surprised by 'someone' that gets offered / asked about in a trade scenario.

Linked to Gunston. Personally I'd really like him. Has obviously slowed down, but would provide excellent support for Souv & Chom.

I imagine we would see some decent improvement in 2023 with:

• LDU full year in the midfield
• McKay full year in defense
• Gunston to provide coverage for Chom & Larkey
• Cunnington with a full preseason
• Tarryn to HBF

Oh yeah, and then some actual standards within the Football dept. & a game plan that is competitive...

Unless people are talking about free agents or a possible PSD then we have pick 1 then garbage after that, people need to articulate how exactly we are going to trade for anyone else.

Movements of picks will change when and if we get Priority Pick or picks. It would then open up us trading a high pick for lower picks making other players gettable.

Tarryn Thomas - His 'people / entourage' already had talks with GCS a couple of weeks ago. Just chatting at this stage, but it was initiated from TT end.

We are obviously keen, but wary of his off-field stuff, as culture has been a long-standing problem up here.

He is the type of player we need - and we have a ton of spare picks.

Things are on-going still, so I have been told.

Garcia will remain a Bulldog until 2024, McLean and McComb have signed on until the end of next year and Raak – a Next Generation Academy graduate – has also signed a one-year deal.

I like the look of him but we have a lot of those medium sized forwards. Would be fighting for spot with Zurhaar, PC, Elvis and Ziebell. Definitely have a go if we lose Zurhaar though.

So it depends what we define as stupid.
Is it anything north of 550k?
For an experienced and competent wingman that we’re trying to poach from the other side of the country, in order to fill a glaring need in our list, 450k doesn’t seem stupid or irresponsible?

You get pick 5 for Rankine and pass that us and that will get TT done.

TT is a very good player - we would like to keep him and get him in the mind set where he can be his best - but if he has his mind set on moving on and that mindset can't be changed then we need to get this done early - but it needs to be pick 5.

There's no way we're getting pick 5 for TT
