Logue and Clark are the only trade targets I'm excited about.
All the others are a bit meh.

Im not as interested in Clark as most seem to be?

Talented player and all, but with Young, Perez, Bergman, Goater, Hall, Stephenson vying for that half back role, it isn’t really an area that is of concern for mine? I feel I’m in the minority on this though…

Murphy 1x AA
Gibbs 0x AA
Kruezer 0x AA
Watts 0x AA
Scully 0x AA
Swallow 0x AA
Patton 0x AA
Whitfield 1x AA
Boyd 0x AA
McCartin 0x AA
Weitering 0x AA
McGrath 0x AA
Rayner 0x AA
Walsh 1x AA
Rowell 0x AA

That’s 3 out of 15, and they have each only been AA once. Sure, Walsh will be multi times and Rowell will too.

2 captains, very few B&Fs. Didn’t bother with Rising Stars.

Will you get the absolute best player? Maybe, but history says probably not.

Splitting it for 2 just as likely quality players isn’t as bad an idea as many on here think.

A few posters in here could do with a refresh in statistics...

The data on how many games each # pick is likely to play is unequivocal.

You need 2 or 3 in each week to rotate.

Hall’s 32, we don’t know if Clarkson will persevere with Stephenson and the others are kids and a bloke who’s going OK but not cemented.

Yeah - Shaun Atley played heaps of games and someone said in his draft year that he played like Chris Judd.

Is that the kind of stats we should be looking at?

Clark would be easily the best of that lot.
Good for a kid does not equal good.
Most of those guys could use some VFL time to hone their craft.
Clark wont be a world beater but he would be a good step forward.
4 years of development we don't need to do.

I also think half back is a role where a midfielder can role back and play, like Stephenson did this year. It also wouldn’t be unusual for a new draftee to play at half back to ease into league footy whilst they build their engine for future midfield minutes E.g. Nick Daicos.

If our midfield is super stacked in years to come, players like TT, Powell, JHF or even Bruhn could all play at half back in rotations to rack up cheap possessions?

I don’t mind Clark, but feel STK would want more than we would be able to give up to make if feasible? E.g. Logue for our future 2nd would mean more to our list build than Clark for our future 2nd? I couldn’t see STK wanting any less than that and feel we would be better served using that draft capital to target more pressing areas of concern?

I’d personally rather put faith in Goater, Stephenson, Young, Scott, Perez, LMac to rotate through the 2 half back spots for the next few years, but respect your opinion.

Watched the first half of the Pies Dockers SF hoping to see what Logie has to offer. Must have blinked and missed his single possession. Hope he’s coming cheap…..
you’d say something similar if you only watched the bmac games where he played forward, but the reality is that he’s one of our five most important players.

If we wanted a “hodge type” which I’m kinda lukewarm on id go Sidebottom

Logue does not look that good - 4 disposals at 3/4 time. Mmm not impressed! 3round pick …

They offered him 250k a year as a contract.
It 100% should be a future third.
They dont value him.

You’re thinking of Acres I think. The talk on Logue is he passed on 500k a year.

They doubled his offer in the last 2 weeks to 500k p/a.
He was offered 250k.
Sam Edmund reported it earlier in the week.
No way they get a first round pick.

The fanbois will be up and about now though. 2 goals and apparently he’s being played out of position. Can see why he knocked back 500k, and why he’s got his eye on Snoz’s war chest
