If that's how it's looking, that can still get done, just need to find a player they can trade out for a F2 or cut Rioli out of itThis is missing the Port F2.
I don’t understand how the clubs could get so far into the deal, which did involve 6 clubs, before seeking clarification with AFL first.
What a waste of 6 clubs time, when the rules were already in place.
LOL.How can a pick tied to Freo be in the trade but we aren’t ?
I mean we may not be having a great trade week but throwing picks into other teams trades Willy Nilly seems like a stretch even for us
Bc we gave North our F3 in the logue tucker tradeHow can a pick tied to Freo be in the trade but we aren’t ?

Previous year trade
Bc we gave North our F3 in the logue tucker trade
Lobb want's a chance at success as well by the sounds of it. The Dogs are offering the money and a chance at success.Just why would you pick a club that doesn’t need you? Why not bombers or saints?
It is our future third round that was passed onto North as part of the Logue and Tucker trade:How can a pick tied to Freo be in the trade but we aren’t ?

Port need some picks hey? We could give them a first rounder for a certain WA forward on their books. This is missing the Port F2.

Reckon a trade with those key pieces will go ahead. Might be a swap of later picks as well. 61 + 63 (GWS) > F3 (Freo)If I was north I would try and just do that clean gws deal anyway even if there's no mega trade. 3 and 12 should be worth more to them than 1, especially seeing how well 1 has gone for them this year
I doubt he cares about success at all.Lobb want's a chance at success as well by the sounds of it. The Dogs are offering the money and a chance at success.
He has played in a few Prelims and experienced finals success. Probably knows how hard it is to make the GF and win one..content with the $.I doubt he cares about success at all.
The funny part is this won't even be the worst take you could find. Some seriously terrible journalists/analysts out there.View attachment 1531063
"Dependent on how much of Lobb's salary is covered by the Dogs" ?????? ******* hell who writes these.
Fremantle: Publicly said they won't trade him. Have said pick 30 is no where near enough, and they'd much rather keep him.
Fox Footy: Yeah pick 30 sounds fair.
Reminds me of Rendell saying we should trade him to giants for pick 53 and pay half his salary.
Who are you quoting?View attachment 1531063

Lucky for us I’m ok with this situation. He signed a front ended contract so would expect max $450k write off. I’m fine with that. Lobb sitting out a year unable to train with an AFL club essentially be career limiting. 31 yo not playing professional football for twelve months, what’s that worth contract wise? Colin young as a manager would look fantastic in that scenario, who would he blame Fremantle? As Lobb is in contract, we’re not obliged to trade him, right? If he decided to sit out next year, we would still be paying his contract to do nothing?

WA teen breaks 14-year-old record at Draft Combine
Darcy Jones and Ed Allan among the players to impress on the final day of the 2022 AFL Draft Combinewww.afl.com.au
We may miss Allen, but could/would/should we snag Darcy Jones with our first pick?
