Same source as always?

I find it incredibly hard for Young to allow Lobb to buy a house knowing that dogs were going to offer something so piss poor, surely they had a breakdown in communication, geez

I trust your work too so this is just incredible if its the case

The house will still be there in 12 months

Lucky for us I’m ok with this situation. He signed a front ended contract so would expect max $450k write off. I’m fine with that. Lobb sitting out a year unable to train with an AFL club essentially be career limiting. 31 yo not playing professional football for twelve months, what’s that worth contract wise? Colin young as a manager would look fantastic in that scenario, who would he blame Fremantle?

Dogs need to provide a picks
That would be the end of lobb as an afl player and hopefully the beginning of the end for Colin young.. 😂

"Dependent on how much of Lobb's salary is covered by the Dogs" ?????? ******* hell who writes these.

Fremantle: Publicly said they won't trade him. Have said pick 30 is no where near enough, and they'd much rather keep him.

Fox Footy: Yeah pick 30 sounds fair.

Reminds me of Rendell saying we should trade him to giants for pick 53 and pay half his salary.

Typical Vic journalism. Not only should we trade a player we want to keep for unders, but we should do the Vic club the courtesy of paying half his salary for them too.

Average age of a fox sport journo working on Sunday would be a 20 yo intern who studies politics . Best not to get too offended. They just get paid to get us reading an article and clicking on the page everything else is just opinion.

Fwiw the mega trade would get AFL approval if Port get a future 2nd. Sure we have two we can send over our Future 2nd to port for their 2nd this year. Include it into the Jackson pair of firsts and it’s a super mega mega trade. Locked and loaded.

If port trade out their second then they can't also use that in the deal

Ports best bet is somehow getting a second for Riley Bonner

Doubt that happens though

Except when a side decides to go man on man and actually defend Cox, then the only other option is to go long to Darcy and 6 people jumping at the footy. Unfortunately Sean just doesn't win enough of those contests and it's unfair to expect him to even when its clearly not working. The Collingwood game was a great example of how predictable we are at kick ins

Having Jackson on the otherside of the field and possibly Corbett as options makes us less predictable and harder to defend against. It will draw defenders away from Sean and create more even contests across the defensive 50 that we might actuallywin rather than turning it over allowing the opposition repeat inside 50s.

Was the single thing that annoyed me most this year. How poor our kick-ins were. Just unfathomable to me.

I read it as the unders would involve us paying no salary, but if we want a first rounder then we have to pay some of his salary. To be honest, it isn't that crazy of a concept considering his age.

Fair enough, maybe I wasn't giving the journo enough credit.
