I've had a lot of trust in our list management since walls took over. If we lose lobb and Meek and get JOM then I'm losing all faith in them.

They have one Serong. We have another. Who the coach would think is the second coming of himself. It's not hard to see what is coming from Hawthorn.

I am really worried they will put some stupid offer in front of Caleb like 1.5 million in the first 2 years of a long deal which averages out to a number we simply can't afford with the other players on our list. We will be needing Caleb to sacrifice his earning capacity for success.

Although there is always the lure of wanting to play with his brother, I feel like the strong majority of AFL listed brothers have historically played for different clubs.
Caleb is an interesting prospect as there will be 17 clubs keen to take his services off us so it’s inevitable he will be offered this kind of deal from multiple clubs. My gut has always told me he’s all in at Freo though.

The Age seem to think the go home factor will likely mean he picks you guys over us if he leaves, I'm not a huge fan of bringing him in especially if it costs one of the top 20 picks

Media speculates about us paying way overs for someone... BF Freo melts about it declaring our list mgmt incompetent... deal ends up being nothing like what the media suggested... BF Freo gets some kind of weird MiB memory erasure and repeats the process the following day.

I just can't reconcile how the messaging for years could be sustained success, then we make finals once and start eyeing off 29yos. Not only that, but push Mundy out to do it and prevent Ras and Johnson from getting non-injury gametime for at least another year.

It doesn't make sense to me. If he played like wingard, then I'd be on board since he improves us a lot and we don't have a young version he is keeping out. An inside mid just baffles me.

It could be a ruse cooked up by Hawthorn to get GWS to stump up the goods, leaving more options to get Meek over the line. I hope.

I'd probably take the 30 and future 2nd ahead of pick 21 as well if there's nothing going back, that's getting close to good to turn down IMO.

Again, can someone genuinely tell me what incentive we have to get rid of Lobb? We got our guy, we got Jackson. We have zero reason to let Lobb go unless we have a Godfather offer thrown our way.
