De goey probably just looks better because he was in a better team for most of his career. Gresh developed in one of the shittest teams in the comp until the last couple years. De goey was finals bound most of his career and played in a grand final quality side.
Could conversely argue that makes it harder to break into the team whereas Jade was given more games early on.

Jade is in a better team now and stats from just this season (Jades breakout year) are only marginally better than Jordans now.

Again, im not saying one or the other im saying how good would both be.

I dont think they are as dissimilar as you might.

Aside from Baileys being legitimately illegal etc. If youre suggesting that Baileys mental health makes his issues lesser or more manageable id suggest there is alot more bubbling under the surface than just that.

No, I mean one of the two people named has an issue with drugs, and the other has been charged on more than one occasion with crimes against the person.

That's the difference.

Yep I get you. Was just trying to stick up for Gresh a bit. He’s underrated by us and the media but he’s really good and has been for ages

Oh i rate Gresh, hes a jet (he butchers the footy a bit but hes genuinely a star and will almost certainly be our best player this year or next).

More than anything i was suprised by how similar their current career stats were, i assumed DeGoey would be a bit more ahead of him but either way a 22+ possy 1-1.5 goal a game HFF/Mid is a lovely player to have and if we got De Goey, wed have two.

So he comes to the saints, wins a BnF in a flag year, then wins a Norm as part of our drought breaking flag and youll sit in the corner hating it because you dont want him playing for us...

How did you feel about most of our list during the Schoolgirl scandal? If Milne toe poked a goal in 2010 would you have demanded to hand the cup back?
so with this I was in my early teens when milne started playing and he quickly became my favourite player, I don't think I've enjoyed watching any player as much as him. The milne scandal thing came after I'd already put all my support behind him. I basically just ignored his scandal.

I'm in my 30s now, I can make proper judgements. It's also harder if you love the player before they do fkd shit, because then you have to reconcile that. With degoey I can make the call before those complications.

I dunno about the school girl scandal. It's pretty cooked but also it wasn't a case of sexual assault, more just gross age gap similar to the stringer thing. Stringer is about 17 emotionally though so it kind of makes sense.

All I know is I don't want degoey, that's before taking into account the fact that he aint no sure thing, and would be the highest paid player on our list along with king.

Well as it stands neither of them were convicted, i dont say that as a defence necesarily just pointing out that he currently doesnt really have anything legally on his record.

On DeGoey (and ive said this a multitude of times) i only want him at the right price and that would NOT be him as our highest paid player (which i also realise means we almost certainly wont get him). Any offer to him has to be risk v reward and his risk is huge but he is a player that genuinely makes us better on field overnight. We clearly have a different position on the character requirement of footballers and thats fine.

The New York Times had an article yesterday about Australian English and the work by ANU to create an Australian English Dictionary.
Naturally they provided a few examples of Australian English for their readers.
This example, however, was sadly lacking.
Mores the pity, given that it would be incomprehensible to the average New Yorker.
😂😂😂
Please, the Americans had a meltdown when the word "mates" first appeared on Wordle !!!

Doubt De Goey will be going anywhere now.

Can't see anyone offering him enough (without a huge a amount of strings attached) to make a shift from the Pies worth while any more.

Pies will be happy, they keep De Goey, don't have to pay overs unless he really really performs.

They should have just published this

In the end I reckon its a 99% certainty De Goey stays at the Pies.
They'd be really happy that they can now offer him less ( much like we saved money on the Carlisle deal) and there isn't a huge list of free agents moving to other clubs in the same state.

Honestly can't see it happening.
