Hmmm - I know the bit you mean but I didn't think it was that overt?Reid basically came out and admitted that in Sensible Crow podcast interview.

It was pretty close. Probably Murray's brother signing on as a ruck/forward only chance.Hmmm - I know the bit you mean but I didn't think it was that overt?
I'm just astounded that any media figure would even suggest that O'Sullivan could slip past both Melbourne and Essendon.ADELAIDE
Draft Picks after trade period: 10, 14, 20, 89
Only North Melbourne has more top-20 picks than Adelaide after the Crows strengthened an already attractive draft hand in the trade period – and they might not be done yet. “We’ll certainly look to get up, whether that’s between now and the draft or on draft night itself,” list boss Justin Reid said after the deadline with the club already involved in conversations with Geelong, which holds the eighth selection. Could GWS’ pick 7 be up for grabs, too? Moving up might quite not bring Zane Duursma and Colby McKercher in to play – two dynamic midfielders who would fit Adelaide’s needs perfectly – but Ryley Sanders has on-ball star written all over him and Nate Caddy could be anything. If there is no charge up the draft order, athletic, strong-marking defender Connor O’Sullivan, classy midfield goalkicker Caleb Windsor and the speedy Darcy Wilson would suit and might come into the mix with the club’s first two picks.
Come to think of it, I reckon a ruckman’s speed is totally irrelevant. All they need is a good aerobic base to cover the ground well. Are you worried about what the other poster said about being super slow? Not that you should be, but that statement stood out a bit.
That is exactly what our midfield needs. I’m sold on him. Don’t care if we use 10 on him. I just want him at the footy club.hardness at the contest, acceleration and genuine breakaway speed
Yeah Wilson/DeMattia is probably one of the better scenarios for us, if not the bestLove their Darcy Wilson/Harry DeMattia picks for #10 and #14 though if we're taking a ruck as early as #20 might as well go for the local lad Taylor Goad.
He's not slow, he's a big guy/ruck IMO, certainly quicker than ROB, not unco-ordinated and has a decent left boot...go watch some of his games on the Coates League app and make up your own mind. Is real speed at the top end of requisites for a Ruckman anyhow, you'd hardly class blokes like Gawn, Goldstein, McInerny as speed merchants.
Out of interest have you ever watched him play yourself?
As long as they're getting to contests, it shouldn't matter. Maybe having a decent engine is needed, as that has always been an issue for Hayes.Come to think of it, I reckon a ruckman’s speed is totally irrelevant. All they need is a good aerobic base to cover the ground well.
Yeah, I'd be very happy with that.Love their Darcy Wilson/Harry DeMattia picks for #10 and #14 though if we're taking a ruck as early as #20 might as well go for the local lad Taylor Goad.
Glory be the draft is not till November 20th.

Kane McAuliffe, a player that deserves more conversations
Adelaide Crows Draft Focus
After a heartbreaking finale to this year's campaign, which showed plenty of promise and power under senior coach Matthew Nicks4231sport.com
Really ???? ......is that because he's Sth Aust ....because that's the only reason I can seeKane McAuliffe, a player that deserves more conversations
yes definitelyKane McAuliffe, a player that deserves more conversations
I don't see it happening really - simply a consequence of West Coast valuing Reid higher than North (who already have plenty of young midfield talent) would be willing to pay for.Who thinks the WC / NM trade will happen?
I think the only way it happens is if it involves 2 and 3.
If I'm West Coast I'm taking Reid unless the offer is the second best player and Curtin.
This is the same team that ironically would not accept three 1sts by the Crows for JHF in a good draft.Who thinks the WC / NM trade will happen?

We have a developing ruck, sadly he’s in our starting 22If Geelong would entertain 14 & 20 for 8, leaving us with 8 & 10. That would have to mean another year without a developing ruck on our list
