I don't agree that our midfield needs addition, think it just needs a bit of time. Drew (24), Rozee & Butters (23) and JHF (19) is still extremely young for a midfield brigade. If Wines can have a good pre-season and get some form back next year, will be a massive boost.

However, if your point is correct it raises the serious question of whether Rozee and/or Butters aren't up to being full-time mids (either in isolation, or just have overlapping deficiencies and can't play there together) and we should trade one out while they have max value.

Our midfield feels shallow when our outside players could be Boak and Burgoyne. I mean hopefully Bergman steps up, but he's failed there previously and been elite down back, so hard to know whether he will rise to the level on the wing.

Bergman is too good down back, and not a good enough kick to really be valuable as an outside mid anyway. Maybe provides some on ball depth in a couple of years when Wines has gone and his tank has improved.

On Instagram you can see he's travelled a bit around Europe this year, has seen Petracca in a couple spots but he was over there with his girlfriend and is in Signapore now whilst Trav is on his way to LA. Mainly the below showed them training together at Red Bull HQ.

It isn't funny. It brings unnecessary attention to a player we see as a generational talent. It's a level of arrogance they just have no right to.
