Mod notice after Mr Bob did a lot of annoying work in moving days of posts out of here. As we are heading into offseason, this thread is for 2023 list management only. Getting upset on previous trades can be taken to the vent thread. Lets keep this thread on track in the part of the year it's actually relevant

Or if Tasmania is able to sign the young men to longer terms with better financial deals as marketing figures given their fathers could well be the likes of Nick Reiwoldt.
It'd have to be serious overs imo.

Plus Nick Riewoldt was drafted from Queensland. What kind of criteria would the AFL need to dream up to make his son eligible? Wouldn't put it past them.

What about Chad Wingard?
OOC this year - could he be a talented underperforming maverick to add a bit of X factor and also experience to our side?

Chad Wingard was excellent in his early years, but has seriously under performed for the majority of his career.

Wingard was a dynamic forward who wanted to elevate himself into the elite class of footballers by including midfield rotation into his game like Robbie Gray - he never seemed to be able to build the engine for it and it's potentially shaved the top off his output as his agility seems to have fallen off

Attitude is definitely an issue. Don't think he is one to do the extra runs.

I see Dylan Stephens was dropped by Sydney and he’s OOC this year. Could be be tempted across to freo I wonder without giving up too much?

Stephens is better than Sharp IMO but can we develop our current development wingers to be equal or better…

If Stephens is available, we ask the question. sharp isn’t getting a game and is now 4th round territory, but is he better than what we have?

It would be ideal to have Jeremy Sharp across for a future 4th before he wins the preseason time trials and talks about finding a whole new level of passion for footy now he is home.

All of our wing options will look better next season when Johnson is another preseason improved.

I think sharp will go to wce for a 4th, we missed our chance but I'm happy we didn't pay overs for him anyway

Having said that, wouldn't mind him over JOM for dogs 2nd
Eh Sharp can't even get a game for gold coast. If he was even close to being b22 they would play the **** out of him to try and drive up his price as much as they can.

JOM hasn't been great but the idea of bringing in a proven experienced mid to replace Mundy made sense at the time. His last couple games weren't too bad. Offers more than Sharp would.

When was the last time he was genuinely at his best?
very similar to Sonny in my opinion, natural talent that can change a came with amazing feats and game sense when on. really in the end never given the recognition deserved by the rest of the afl public.
