Mod notice after Mr Bob did a lot of annoying work in moving days of posts out of here. As we are heading into offseason, this thread is for 2023 list management only. Getting upset on previous trades can be taken to the vent thread. Lets keep this thread on track in the part of the year it's actually relevant

Bad analogy, Amiss is a pick 8, while JVR was pick 19, plus Treacy is a year older than JVR while Jefferson is a year younger than Amiss.
Pick 22 + a Third year KPF for a Second year KPF (taken at 19) is a reasonable offer.
No way would our future 1st be involved in a deal for JVR.
And Treacy is a rookie pick… I don’t even know why you’re mentioning their ages which are like a year apart, they are irrelevant. Melbourne would rate JVR as highly as we rate Amiss and he just signed on, there’s like no scenario where they give him up, yet alone for a 2nd round pick and a rookie listed KPF.

Sorry pK but your suggestion is like one that shows up on oppo boards for a laugh.

Being in Hobart I'm at the North v Port game. Can't help but notice that Logue is playing as a forward.
$35,000 a game for Griff. Hopefully that helps him get through it.

North went from nice shiny new car to driving with four skinny emergency flat wheels on

We are in a tough situation here. We need to re-sign Treacy soon to keep his signature but what if Naughton says he is open to moving back home end of 2024?

Taylor Would the club front load Jackson's contract so they can offer Darcy more? He has proven how important he is as the no.1 KPF so we need to extend him soon.

Naughton coming or not shouldn’t have anything to do with treacy.

You sign the kid to exactly what he’s worth and worry bout Aaron’s situation when the time comes.

I don't think you sign Josh Treacy long term if you're bringing in a key forward. Regarding Sean Darcy, given its his free agent contract the club can just sign him for seven or eight years with the money spread around that however is easiest.

You can't have both. If you offer Treacy a shorter contract because Naughton is 50/50, you risk being outbid by a Victorian club for Treacy's signature.

While your at it can you ask him why he felt the need to bend over for an uncontracted Jackson ? K thnx

He took it for the team and by the way its turning out it was a master-stroke.
Jackson is looking every bit what we paid and some, could quite possibly be one of the most freakish players we have ever seen in purple.

Aye?
Jackson was always coming … bell paying more than he had to was the mistake

Well he's back playing in his favourite position up forward for one
Logue was chopping out in the ruck. Remind me how we lost to that mob. If we played a bit better and got the rub of the green with umpiring in the last few mins we would be sitting in 8th spot.

North are a com complete rabble and Logue really is being thrown around.

Even if we took the most of our chances. Had 6 or 7 extra scoring shots ffs.

It does bring me great joy though to see clarko is still washed and Logue is being moved around after leaving for that exact reason.

Bro you are not playing a 50 goal KPF in defence.
It's the 2023 second rounder we threw in that is annoying. If we finish 10 to 12 and it's a pick 8 to 10 this year plus 14 last year for Jackson, that's a big win for us.
The fact we are already seeing a snapshot of what Jackson is going to be like in a few years, I will take that every day and twice on Sundays

If Treacy keeps playing like he did yesterday, I’m retracting the north pick and going straight swap Treacy for JVR, and only doing the trade if Treacy wants to go back to Vic for personal reasons.
