Sam Walsh, memo:

I love you. I always have.

****ing stop calling for the ball when you’re under the pump and hack kicking it like you did with 7’55” to go in Q1. **** your stats. Stop it.

Maybe block/Shepard for the player with the ball instead calling for it.

Look at the 8 min 25 second to go mark of the first quarter. Walsh gets it on the wing…cuts inside and had the Dogs ALL AT SEA. SOS direct opponent peels off him to push back….leaving sos wide alone…..and Walsh ignores him and “kicks it to Curnow”.

As long as this s**t goes on we are ****ed.
Sos always gets ignored. So does any other forward.

Yup treat each lead/call on its own merit. Need to make smarter decisions in the moment.

I just want to see an assemblance of a fluid game plan maximising our weapons.

We need to be more unpredictable. The old timers view of ‘be predictable to your team mates’ makes you easy pickings. Sometimes go very short. Sometimes go long. ****ing mix it up.

We can’t play all the short people up forward this week.

Maynard and Quaynor will kill
Them.

I hate to say it but this one has the makings of a huge disappointment, even with the expected result.

Not sure I have the mental fortitude to hold up again especually against this mob. Would be a bloody miracle to pull this off.

Good luck to the boys though and to those venturing to the game.
I’m going to the game because… wouldn’t it be bloody brilliant…

Keen for Adam Saad to give a shit about his opponent this week. Very early in 3rd last week….turnover (by Acres AGAIN) and Saad didn’t even turn around to look for Jones. Couldn’t have given a stuff. Terrible game mate.

The examples you give are interesting and it makes a person wonder if the rank and file players feel pressure to defer to the “superstars” no matter the situation.

As hard it is to say he’s Probably kicking to the player more likely to kick the goal.

'the only thing letting him down is his goal kicking'... err which is the point of him playing forward, right? Kicking the thing between the big sticks is the point of the game. This is the same logic as ' the only thing stopping us being on top is not winning'..... FFS

Harry is not playing well up forward, he is playing well when he roams up the ground and takes marks down the line, chases and harrasses....sort of like a ruckman...

Coleman medalist with 50ish goals for the year, not exactly Peter Hudson is he? How many for this year? About 7 or 8?, I'd guess.

Change is needed, tactical advantage is needed, a different look and gameplan are needed. This is but one suggestion.

Turning him into a ruckman at round 10 and asking him to follow around Mason bloody Cox because he hasn’t been kicking well, ridiculous. He has been creating scoring opportunities and marking everything. He is otherwise playing the CHF role perfectly.

We need to get him out of this rut not create more problems for him.

Nah, the kick to Jsos was the correct option. As much as we focus on C and H, we need to be sure the comp knows there are other avenues to goal. Untill leads by others are respected, they will double team C and H. If we start hitting up other targets like Jsos, and Kennedy and others, we will make the big dogs better and more effective.
