So the kid puts his nappy in the washing machine… nappy explosion, gelatine everywhere, spent an hour cleaning it up. What a mess!

Then he knocks down the patio fly screen door.. not his fault, part of the roller on the bottom cracked apart. So I superglued it back on and in the process superglued my finger too!!

How’s everyone else’s day going?

Yeh we stunk but it’s time to lift our chins and get back on the winners list.

That game is done and dusted, I believe we got smashed by 10 goals twice in 95 in a row. Footy is a funny game!
if we were half the side of 95 and lost in the fashion we did last night I’d still be ok. We’ve got serious work to do.

agree chins up and focus on saints. A huge contest for us.

With the buildup all week in Adelaide Grand Final like atmosphere, we drew the short straw unfortunately. The spotlight was fairly and squarely on this game that had the feel of the whole country had gone there to see it, the Crows performance reflected this.
The positive for us is we got a glimpse of who is up to finals football.
Not going to name names but 'gee' the Vanilla with a cherry on top of the newbies was delicious.

Yes poor us, had to go interstate to play a game of football. Top spot on the line and did not give a yelp.

Big night for the likes of Dow/Binns/Cincotta/Kemp/Carroll even Lemmey.

Make a statement.

FWIW I'd argue that Dow has been making that statement since the start of last season. Whether he is selected next week or not better not be based on how he performs tonight.

Every board is the same, I find it funny how everyone thinks their own board is somehow different or better.

Look at this place after our first loss of the season...people already bringing up Ross Lyon and questioning if Voss is the right man.

Crows in good form now but their board wasn't a happy place after their 0-2 start.

Beat Saints next week and WC after to go 5 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss after 7 tounfs and the lid will be off again.
Good post and sums it up perfect.

I think it's time to give his skill set the benefit of the doubt.

Jeez we move the ball too slow dont we? Dominated large portions of the game but try as they might Charlie and Harry couldn't get us back into it. They were both admiral in their efforts but we are too predictable and if we dont move it fast our talls will be outnumbered, shut down, and their defenders will run it out. Even in the last quarter when we mounted an early challenge Weitering took an intercept mark across half back. Given our momentum he had to move the ball on straight away and preferably through the middle or switch sides. He opted to go back take 10 seconds and kick long down the wing. Keep in mind at that stage we were 24 points down in the last quarter. The situation demanded something completely different but he had no idea about it. I think that's down to coach not player. Very concerning.

Honestly I’m blue through and through but I hate these ******* players at the moment. I’d say they are the perfect advertisement for bud light at the moment
“I’m blue through and through but I hate these players.”

F me a section of our “supporter” base is truly embarrassing.

Need to be able to do tempo within the same passage of play. But that felt like the wrong choice.

Two weeks in a row now we've given up 4 goals to the opposition in the final 10 minutes of play. We're either struggling to run out games already or we're mentally giving up before the game is done. Not sure which is worse.

Yep. SOS fooled everyone saying it takes years.
Lumbered is with private school boys scared of their own shadows and GWS potatoes.
Hooray for the club legend.

As much as this is true with a lot of SOS’ draft picks, it’s the current list managements job to get rid of the lemons on this list (SOS has been gone since 2020). There is no reason to still have JSOS, Dow, LOB, Honey, Ed Curnow, Fisher at the club. I would be genuinely shocked if any of them are at the club next year and all of them (apart from Dow and Honey) seem to be entrenched in the 22. There is also no reason to still have Owies, McGovern and Martin on the list next year. Our top end talent is as good as any clubs in the competition. Our bottom half is as bad as any clubs in the competition.

If this club can get rid of those types that I listed and replace them well, this club is a flag contender. They aren’t with multiple plodders getting games all at the same time.

Had to sit through that with idiot Crows supporters screaming nonsense in the seats behind me all night. This heaped misery on our performance which was as poor as it had been for long time.
We didn't show up. Ball movement (when it happened) too slow and predictable. Harry needs to get some leading patterns drilled, not just rely on the high clunk. While valuable as a key forward, Curnow should be given license to roam, Kouta and Carey style.
Midfield pedestrian at best. Will get better as they gel but I'd roll Durdin and Motlop through there every so often to mix it up and inject some speed. Ruck set up too easy to negate.
Defence set up all wrong, not helped with the Gov pulling out but replacing him with Plow had predictable results.
I'm loathe to roll out whipping boys, however changes need to be made, with some unpopular decisions required at the selection table, based on team balance and game plan. There are a few players that unfortunately do not offer much, even when on occasion they accumulate some possessions.
Some of the injured boys coming back will assist structurally while there are a few others that have put their hand up who should be get opportunities. I'd hate to think the match committee thinks a spit and polish will cover some the major blemishes we have.

Cripps seems out of touch. He's fumbling and 2/3 grabbing the footy more than I've ever seen from him and is uncharacteristically missing inside handballs. He's also being pushed past the footy in the contest very easily. Probably hasn't quite been mentioned as we've won, but if we'd been losing everyone would be asking what's up with him.

I dont agree with this at all. We've played poorly this year but won on the back of Cripps' efforts. He was sub standard yesterday no doubt but has been inspirational this year.

I don't understand why we have known our midfield lacks defensive spread so we have had to send out half fwd up to the contest giving the opposition a plus one in Defence theoretically killing any advantage our fwds have yet this has not been addressed since last year .. wondering why our defensive 50 is always a cluster is pretty obvious --

We do this again next week Sinclair will again get it 35 times -- our inside 50 are ugly as we lack penetration kickers anyways and we always going to an outnumber .. if the midfield can't stand alone change the midfield -- even adding doc wasn't much good as he is average by foot and poor inside 50 but he did show we lacking speed at ball and speed pressure at ball carrier ..
competition also know our mids try to walk through players instead of step and our tacklers allow disposal by hand if not let you run over them ..

I don't think I've ever seen anything on a football field, including the seagulls at the MCG, have less of an idea about field positioning than Josh Honey.
But didnt you know, that the 5 possessions he had in the VFL was some of the greatest touches of the footy since Soapy Vallance.

How dare you be so negative
