Not a bad comparisonSchoenmaker reminds me a bit of Suckling. Nice player, but not a star.
Kicking is ridiculously good , not sure his game has a heap to it other than that but it might develop

You sure? We'd ask him to do the "Smith, long to the right" trick. That's not help.He would definitely help with our kick outs haha
Still kicking long and to the right, just 20m further lolHe would definitely help with our kick outs haha
3&4?West Coast just need to hold until draft night
When it comes to the crunch, North will pay picks 3 & 4 for pick 1. Why would you not?
Those picks effectively become 3 & 4 after the Walter bid is what I'm guessing they meant.3&4?
They have 2&3.
Gold Coast will have pick 23&4?
They have 2&3.
I believe this is the way it will play out as well.West Coast just need to hold until draft night

So for someone who doesn't follow it that closely.I believe this is the way it will play out as well.
It wouldnt surprise me if North waited right until the last moment on draft night to make the trade.
Harley Reid is clear Number 1 and going to be an elite AFL player, Clarko rebuilt the Hawks of the end of high end draft picks which fortunately for him were elite players. Its less of a lottery today for the first few players compared to 20 years ago.
Don't underestimate WA's ability to get sh*t done. They put the entire city train station underground in less time than it took us to remove two give way signs and a bus stop on the South Road Underpass....Only took 3 years to build Perth Stadium. Can't see it taking 8 years to get done
My understanding is that he cleaned up his act at Woodville West Torrens, not sure Geelong would have taken him otherwiseMy understanding is that part of the reason Stengle was able to pull his socks up because he was living with Eddie and Anna. Now, is that attributable to Geelong the Club?
Don't you know that an undrafted player is twice as good as a drafted player? So for someone who doesn't follow it that closely.
Reid v JHF?
I only make that comparison because of the hype on JHF which seems similar to that of Reid
That assumes the Clubs know what their players do after hours .....clearly ADEL didn't with Stengle, so I doubt WWT could vouch for him with any convictionMy understanding is that he cleaned up his act at Woodville West Torrens, not sure Geelong would have taken him otherwise
That's absolute madness.West Coast just need to hold until draft night
When it comes to the crunch, North will pay picks 3 & 4 for pick 1. Why would you not?
Unless pick 1 might be another Dusty or GAJ. If Reid ends up at that level, two low first rounders is cheap IMO.That's absolute madness.
Pick 1 cannot be that much better than the players at pick 3 and 4.
Crazy s**t for a rebuilding club.
Crows would have kept Pick 2,3 if in North's position, the caveat being if the Number 1 pick was a Mid from SA.Unless pick 1 might be another Dusty or GAJ. If Reid ends up at that level, two low first rounders is cheap IMO.
I'm kind of happy we're not faced with the dilemma to be honest.
Dusty was pick 4 though! Right?Unless pick 1 might be another Dusty or GAJ. If Reid ends up at that level, two low first rounders is cheap IMO.

That was 2011, a lot has changed since then.Dusty was pick 4 though! Right?
Like us with McAsey Butch was a need pick taken a little higher than expected. They needed Key Forwards and when Butch missed they got DixonThat was 2011, a lot has changed since then.
John Butcher was a Top 10 pick at Pick 8 for Port.
Yet another example of why you don’t draft for need with your top end picks.Like us with McAsey Butch was a need pick taken a little higher than expected. They needed Key Forwards and when Butch missed they got Dixon

He was pick 3 in 2009.Dusty was pick 4 though! Right?
Ordinarily you may have a pointThat's absolute madness.
Pick 1 cannot be that much better than the players at pick 3 and 4.
Crazy s**t for a rebuilding club.
Here is another, after the disaster of JHF, they could get a bona fide Pick 1 from Victoria and this time get it right this time.Ordinarily you may have a point
But North have a plethora of early picks. Another is not going to make much of a difference.
Reid is that good. But also he has a huge profile. Their media and sponsorship team would be begging the recruiters to take him.
There's absolutely nothing stopping Reid being poached from North by a Vic club that isn't anchored to the bottom of the ladder. Here is another, after the disaster of JHF, they could get a bona fide Pick 1 from Victoria and this time get it right this time.
Alternatively there is the factor that they may be scared off Pick 1s due to JHF lol.
