We don't even need to use our F1 will have 3 picks in the 20's plus whatever we get for McAdam that we can give for 10 and 17
absolutely - we would be stupid using F1 under this scenario and why bother trying to move 19 to 17 - pointless

Thoughts on:

Adelaide 19 and 25 for Geelong pick 7?

Leaves 7,9 and 22

agree with a lot of this but IMO Fog was one of the only true underwhelming players this year. I think he went backwards relative to his breakout second half of 2022 - not improved further. Yes perhaps my words were a little TT but his reported top 3-4 salary at the club (700k+) just means I expected more from him,, esp as so many other players had career best years (Rankine, Hinge, Jones, Murray etc)

I mean, he did up his around the ground presence this year. Stood still is probably a better way to look at it instead of going backwards, especially as that run last year does have a whiff of over-performance to it. The 64.7% shots to goal accuracy stands out in particular, seeing Fog has typically been a 53-55% shot accuracy type of player with this year reverting back to that.

Digging through the numbers, it doesn't look like Fog saw any genuine drop in supply either. Some games, sure, but he had a similar volume of opportunities over the season.

That said, I can only really think of three lads who I'd consider underwhelming this year - Sloane, Berry and Butts.

Youd rather we blow it on a bid next year would you?..

Tyler welsh will be top 10 next year.. potentially top 5..

He’s ranked top 3 at the moment.

And we wont have a top 10 pick… and if we do, its cause we yet again didnt make finals and there will be hell to pay for Nicksy, roo and the team..
If Welsh is projected anywhere near (or above) the first rounder we have next year and is likely to get eaten in a bid, we can just trade it... next year. Like Gold Coast just did with the Dogs. There's no rush to get rid of it.

Imagine that. If Port finish say 10th that's a top 10 pick in a strong draft.
I dont need to imagine, Port with a tougher draw and the heat on Ken.

Next year we will have both Eagles and Freo posters opening posting on here lol. :D

Cant see the Cats moving from 7, but I would have thought Pick 10 is realistic?

You have picks 19, 22, 25 = 2549 points which the Dees cant match unless we offer Future 1st.
Maybe - the cats have nothing after pick 7 so a decent 2nd rounder to drop 2 spots and a F3 that could be a 40's to 50's pick next year might tempt them.

Thing is I agree with that article, but hey, if McKay gets pick 3 then it’s pretty fair.
they're going to lose their minds when that drops
