The goals were shanked passesYep, only half those kicks hit a player… the other ones sailed through for goals.
I think there’s a possibility WC will take him at 1. We could just hold here.Ok…he looks like a complete gun. Serious wheels and utterly dynamic.
The pick 1 thread on main board has quite a few WC 5-star tools on it.Just a quick observation - I appreciate that you people have been welcoming on your board. When you wander into the other side during times like this it can be a bit testy. You folks are alright. Cheers
I agree. I got a bit annoyed with the echo chamber like nature and ventures over here in truthThe pick 1 thread on main board has quite a few WC 5-star tools on it.
I’d happily do that. About as close as it’d go I’d say but they’d want 2 instead of 3. Reid and Duursma/sanders/Curtin is still good going. Maybe they can add the darling dump?3, 15, 18 for 1 & 22
Wait, that should read 2, 15, 18, for 1 & 22.
We draft with 1, 3, 17, 22
We got the same player @ 2 that we would have @ 1. We moved from 1 to 2 so we could get 3.So we traded pick 1 in 2022 for pick 2, 40 and 43 essentially?
Exactly my point if he is writing himself off every weekend there how will he go in the big city?I can understand. Tongala just goes OFF on a Saturday evening.
I refuse to call him Uncle-ReidAnyone noticed the Reid & uncle relationship? Whilst I’m not suggesting it’s anywhere near as toxic as the JHF & Fabian dynamic, it is a point of interest…
Well, there are other warning signs here too. The lad's old man is named Mark who named his son after a motorcycle.I refuse to call him Uncle-Reid
Uncle Chop Chop yes, but not Uncle-Reid
More like Dusty every dayWell, there are other warning signs here too. The lad's old man is named Mark who named his son after a motor cycle.
Not my own opinion, I'm stealing the opinion of the AFL club affilitated scout on our board. If your club thinks the same way, then a trade could only we be us or keep the pick…So how far apart do you have Reid above McKercher..?

2 of the three (ZD, DC, HR) would be ideal. I think our best result would be something like the 2017 draft where -from the outside - Freo seemed uncertain leading up to the draft then selected Brayshaw at 1 over LDU.I think the main appeal for us with Reid is his ability to play other positions, not just an all out mid. Personally i dont think theres much difference between he, Sanders and McKerch other than that utility factor. We've got a good young group of mids already but there are question marks around how we manage them when not in their preferred positions.
I wouldnt be surprised one bit if we went Duursma and Curtin for that utility factor.
All the more reason not to pay overs from a North pov.Not my own opinion, I'm stealing the opinion of the AFL club affilitated scout on our board.
It's close in his books.
If Reid decides to come back to Melbourne- he won’t be coming to a bottom side.Just wait 12 months
Let the Eagles draft Reid at 1 then we take Curtain at 2 or 3 then after the 2024 season Reid will want to comeback to Victoria and Curtain May want to go back to WA .
But if for some reason Cutain wants to stay here we can still trade with the Eagles maybe our 1st pick next year and maybe a player or 2 thrown in.
Or we can suggest to them a straight swap for both players with draft picks thrown in.
As a club the NMFC we hold all the cards why risk doing something stupid by giving away a draft haul of picks which I still can’t believe the AFL has given us by putting all the eggs in 1 basket by selling the farm to get Reid.
We might even get lucky and the Eagles might call out Curtain name 1st.
Then Reid is all ours.
We wont be a bottom side in 2 yearsIf Reid decides to come back to Melbourne- he won’t be coming to a bottom side.
He’ll pick a top side and the weagles will get 2 picks in the 15-20 zone.
GC were in the same boat essentially, as pick 18 was going to be swallowed up in matching bids & they already have enough picks/points to match all bids in this draft, so it was an obvious trade & win/win for both clubs. That's not what I'm saying. We were always going to trade it, but for a straight pick swap you don't expect to come out ahead given that everyone knows we had to trade it. That's why I think that we may have given the Suns something extra that is hidden from view.
Can’t remember any prize interstate recruits picking smaller clubs over bigger clubsWe wont be a bottom side in 2 years
Or simply that the Eagles will look at pick swaps all the way up until live trading but player movement needs to be complete next week.Says to me WCE are certain we'll take who they want at 2 or 3. Good job Brady
His issue is between his ears. He needs to get that straightened out.I hate the Judas as much as the next guy but he has all the attributes to be greater than Dangerfield.
HR has nothing on Judas.
Judas was ripping games apart against men as a 17 year old.
Once his tank improves he will be unstoppable.
