Last year Brady showed his skills in negotiation by putting a deal together that saved the Jason mess. He also showed his lack of skills in managing list numbers that lead to us dumping picks before the draft. Have we hired anyone to take this over so that Brady can concentrate on what he is good at and let others handle the numbers and logistics?

And ffs can we please not enter the draft committed to ending up with 38 players on our primary list ever again?

Standing our ground and learning the art of negotiation might help.

Showing some spine and giving the clear impression we couldn't care less what they want let alone what they think, is a good start.

If WC want to pass up an elite local for an elite interstater who's made it known he doesn't want to venture west - we smile, doff our hat and quietly leave the room.

If Zac Fisher's manager says he ain't moving without 5 years, we tell him that his lad can enjoy playing VFL for the next 2 years before smiling, doffing our hat and quietly leaving the room.

If Dodo fails to part with his first rounder, his future first rounder, his second born grandchild and offer his immediate resignation from the industry for TT, we smile, we doff our hat and we quietly leave the room.

They'll soon catch on.
The problem is how little faith I have in the footy department whe it comes to trading after the CCJ debacle and going to water and accepting what I felt was way unders for Judas last year. We have shown that we have been willing to bed over and take it with no lube. Why is this year any different?

Think he just wanted to stay in Melb and * with their 3 picks were the most likely landing spot
true but to come out publicly just hours before doesn't say much for his character...sounds like another sook to me...

Archie Perkins’ wish has been granted by Essendon with the Bombers picking up the explosive midfielder in the AFL draft.
The 18-year-old set the footy world abuzz on Wednesday morning, admitting he had told AFL clubs he was not ready to move away from Victoria.

Stephens is out of contract and we have pick 2 in the PSD so it would be impressive if we managed to overpay there.
CCJ was out of contract and we had pick 1 in the psd if I remember right. We still gave them what ended up being the 1st pic in the 2nd round

IIRC it was also Perkins who had numerous videos of him, absolutely wasted at parties, floating around on the internet pre-draft. Surprised we don't see that stuff more often tbh.

Sounds like a perfect straight swap for Tarryn.

I’d rather players be honest

Don't see Drury possibly making it at AFL level. We continue to make the same mistake of leaving players on our list for to long who are clearly not up to it
Perez seems like a bit of a waste. Think he'd be alright to keep in the VFL for depth. Drury could still become something. Agree with the other delistings

If we got offered pick 12 for Tarryn in June we would be tripping over ourselves to take it from the seller. All that has changed is 6 weeks of good performances. No denying Tarryn's talent but I'd rather someone of high character and elite training standards be drafted with that pick. If we keep him I hope it doesn't come back to bite us by another off-field mistake that craters his value.
Nah bullshit. Anyone that's watched Tarryn when he's up and about justknew he was worth a top 5 even with all that shit going on and that if any offer was made it would be well unders.

This I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again I have no confidence in Rawlings as a list manager I’m hoping Viney and Clarko take over . I don’t know who else is on the recruiting team but Rawlings past history on recruiting has been terrible.

Can somebody remind me what our offer was for Hunter Clark?
For memory Saints wanted to upgrade their first to our first, but what was our offer?
