If we really rate Reid that high I would be filthy in 2 years time if we lost him and Curtin for the sake of a pick in the 20’s, especially this year if we get The Colonel as a freebie..

Reid needs to better than Curtin (or whoever we rate #2) and someone like Goater put together.

I’m not sure. The Filth Wizard is one with the intel here. I’m just guessing. But with the 20% NGA discount we’d still need 1600 points which is a 2nd rounder more than we currently have.

If Sanders assistance means we have to trade I’d be hopeful for at least a mid first round or start of second round PP.

If we’re trading in 1 for 2 and 16ish we should be expecting about pick 30 back based on draft points.

Trade F1 with GC for pick 4.

Use PP or go into deficit next year if we need to for Sanders.

I’m concerned we will need some later picks for trading players in.

Silky skills is very much pushing it. Cerra, Williams and Martin are the only blokes at Carlton I'd bestow the 'silky' label onto, and none of them were developed by the club (lol).

With descriptions like this you're gonna hoodwink all the people on here who know * all about oppo players into thinking we're getting a gun. He's not a gun, he's just a role player who fits a need. Much more so than someone like Howe, and marginally more than someone like Tucker, as Fisher can actually move

Where did I mention he’s a star?.. all I did was say he can play as other have said he’s a spud..

Yes he’s a role player that can get the pill and use it. Will be an asset to us if played in the correct position.

I feel if we’re looking at Perkins, Henry, stevens types we will be looking to trade some players. And about bloody time.
Someone mentioned Phillips could be on the move, makes some sense as we clearly want to bring in some dash.
I’d be doubtful we’d trade our 2 first rounders as the names aren’t worthy of that. Unless it involves Reid. Amd I don’t see Perkins as a need for us, could be wrong.

Oh yes didn’t know we had Reid amd I still don’t think we’d call Watto the wizard with all his wizardry at two or three. Should we have 3.

Hit the draft hard 2,3 and probably 20. Trade F1 to the GC for pick 4 . Amd a player thrown in for good measure. We of course don’t bid on their boys and bam game on .
Take McKercher, Curtin, Watto, Sanders and some other dude who’s grand as well.

Yeah, I reckon they would be mad to. I just want us to stay out of facilitating an overs payment from the likes of Melbourne by getting invoke and giving them pick 2 in any trade.
I like Curtin, we’d need to get overs for missing out on him and pick one.

But glad you mentioned the outs, bar Thomas the rest are covered easily. Unfortunately, but we got Darcy tied into the Thomas deal. Xerri was stiff but was more about him annoying BF posters that saw his career end.

I am biased as I don't rate Reid as highly as most on BF.

I still think he's going to be a very good player, but I personally don't think he is even worth the 2 + 16 for 1 trade.

The potentiality of being forced to bid for Sanders is also a minor issue in this case.

16 and 39 would be required for the Sanders (discounted?) bid, otherwise we are relying on our remaining later picks (53, 59) and potentially going into points deficit to get him, which is obviously not ideal. 39 may be swallowed up in the Fisher/Stephens trades, but who knows. Some might be comfortable with a points deficit to help get Reid/Sanders. There is a few scenarios to play out.

I don’t think they’ll sell it at all but if they do, only for Curtin in the equation so that would either mean the above trade or somebody is putting together two godfather packages.
