I’m fine with it if u think taking Curtin at 2 is a better option
In 2 contracts time eagles and dockers will be doing better and he’ll be gone
That’s a fair point.

We”re all fake tough like we’re calling the shots by telling the Eagles we’re taking Curtin at pick 2 so no deal to 1 & 16.

The Eagles would be thinking ‘no problems Norf we’ll take Reid at 1 (set him up for life with some HJ franchises and HJ’s from the Cottesloe beach babes) and we’ll take our boy Curtin next year or the year after when he gets the JHFF ‘homesickness’..

In two years we’re left holding our knob thinking why didn’t we just give pick 19-20 (after academy bids) to West coast and Harley would be dominating for us in his 3rd year?..

It won’t be big money
Please don’t trade for this kid. If Carlton don’t want him and are contending atm, then surely that’s all you need to know. We need key backs and a decent ruckman to support X if Goldy does not go for another year.

Bit of a tangent. He's an absolute knob but I wouldn't mind having Jack Silvagni on the list on cheap money as depth or to plug a hole in defence next season. I'll probably be crucified for this haha
This is an excellent suggestion as we get to see his Mum in the crowd. Still going well as a young Sale of the Century Fan 😎

Crazy Vossy has him playing all over the show and he hasn’t settled.

Would be beautiful playing a link up role for HBF through our midfield. Silky skills and has a good IQ.

Would free Sheezel up to play more forward of the ball where he could seriously hurt teams more on the scoreboard.

Fisher can play.

We need to start somewhere Shermy - might as well be Curtin.

Personally, I don't care if Curtin is a flight risk. Might as well shut the joint if we're intimidated by an 18 year old who may or may not want to return home in a few years time.

Horne Francis is not a precedent. The kid had home issues. Not all kids do.

Anyway, If it wasn't for him leaving, we wouldn't have the one two punch that is Wardlaw and Sheezel - and watch that pay off in about 60 games.

Curtin will be a good investment one way or another.

Truth is, if we really want Reid then we have to force them to pick Curtin at 1 - because giving them Port's pick ain't gonna work if Reid's that good.

I appreciate that mate and was saying the exact same thing only a week ago, but who knows what the brown paper bags are conjuring up with Curtin in the background already.

If we really rate Reid that high I would be filthy in 2 years time if we lost him and Curtin for the sake of a pick in the 20’s, especially this year if we get The Colonel as a freebie..

This I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again I have no confidence in Rawlings as a list manager I’m hoping Viney and Clarko take over . I don’t know who else is on the recruiting team but Rawlings past history on recruiting has been terrible.

They won't take over, they will merely prove, contrary to some people's belief, that recruitment and list mgmt isn't one man's decision

Assuming you are talking fisher... Carlton simply don't need him and is surplus to requirements and is being paid relatively well... they have plenty of small fwds, plenty of mids and at hb he is purely warming the seat as they have a 800k player waiting to come back... us on the flipside he could fill a need both fwd and back and the odd inside excursion

Silky skills is very much pushing it. Cerra, Williams and Martin are the only blokes at Carlton I'd bestow the 'silky' label onto, and none of them were developed by the club (lol).

With descriptions like this you're gonna hoodwink all the people on here who know **** all about oppo players into thinking we're getting a gun. He's not a gun, he's just a role player who fits a need. Much more so than someone like Howe, and marginally more than someone like Tucker, as Fisher can actually move

Pick 2 and Ports pick for 1 and a bunch of junk picks for Sanders bidding is a win for both. We have to at the very least get a fair amount of points back which would be long shot drafts for them anyway.

Started following a few Geelong players so no need to worry. View attachment 1793098

He’s followed Mardi?
