We've been vocal about this being the last year we hit the draft hard. Giving up the highest draft asset we've had since 2004 feels extremely premature.

Either a smoke screen or a big deal.

King, for Hawks future first? It would make sense, as Sun don’t really want early picks to be swallowed up by there free hits.

I'm curious - our primary focus is for a marking fwd, don't you think King is that?
Besides being a proven goalkicking forward he's also still quite young so he'd be better than Curtin or whoever else.
Pick 3 for him would be a no-brainer (depending on what else - if anything - the Suns want)

It actually would be very exciting if we kept our first round pick of 2023 for Duursma or Watson.

An collected McCabe with late draft picks.

Traded in king with our future 2024 1st round draft pick.

snared McKay and Gresham via F/A backing our system and Mitchell to get the best from them.

If Serong came on at CHB, even just breaking even allowing the class of Sicily, Scrimshaw and Jiath to play their game.

8 position on the ladder would be a reasonable and get table target 🎯.

Pick 3 will not be traded.

If a trade for King comes to fruition this year, it’ll be a future first + something. Either a player with a fully paid contract or an extra future pick that we get in via trade.

Imagine if the Kangas lose him as their only defender and then don’t get the pick 3 compensation they want.

Purple would turn Red!!!

Would turn around and say that the bombers are having a form of tanking by not paying McKay a million dollars.

So it's not a rumour with legs, it's your personal preference.

A future first could be anywhere between pick 3-10, it's the same thing as our current pick. It's not going to be traded for Ben King

If it's not going to be used this year, why would you wait to use it next year? Ben King will be out of contract as well next year, so he'll have even less trade value.
Gold coast wouldn’t be able to use pick 3 anyway as it will be eaten up by a bid on Walter. They have much more use for a future first than this year’s first because of this context

Correct. But they could use it to split the pick and/or trade it for a future pick in a multi club trade.
