Pick 33 is reasonable for a ready made player. Another pre season under his belt, he is a walk up starter for WCE RD1 2024.

It seems certain that we will do a deal with GC for pick 4. The noise coming out is that McKercher is our preferred choice if available & if he is gone then Watson will be snapped up. Our midfield does need upgrading, other than Libba & Bont, the rest of our mids are outside types and we need more grunt (losing Dunkley hurt us a lot). Mitchell loves Duursma so it will be interesting to see what North do with picks 2 & 3 if they can't get a deal done with WC. I expect that if WC keep pick 1 then North will take Curtin and one of Duursma or McKercher. If they somehow get gifted Sanders as well (which I hope they don't) it would be the biggest steal ever.Yes so you have Croft and JUH up forward with Darcy and Naughton down back and at least 2 and maybe all can switch between the 2. And they are all 23 and under. it’s an amazingly odd position for a side that should be contending to be in. If I were the dogs I would be trading out of this draft into 2024 which is mid heavy and angling for crows first pick as they have Tyler welsh who will go top 5. Your natural picks and some f2 will box seat you to trade up and replace treloar and libba when all your young talls have 30-40
More games in them.
Remember when Gold Coast sent a message by saying they were sick of losing kids and forcing Jack Martin into PSD?No it won’t. We just lose out. These messages don’t last long. They hold all the leverage.
Was Jack Gunston for pick 24 and some steak knives with later pick swaps one of the best deals we have done?

No they arn'tNorth are taking Duursma and Watson so if we take McKercher that leaves Curtin
No the AFL can’t make a team draft a player. They will get 3 as generous free agency compo and pick 11 to use as they please. So the talk on here that they are being given pick 11 with the condition that they take Sanders with one of pick 2 or 3 is not what you've heard?
Why does the AFL want them to take Sanders? No they arn't
They will be forced to take Sanders with pick 3 as to get pick 11 as assistance

Well if that is the case, then that helps you guys and maybe us if we get GCs pick.Read above
I find it hard to believe that the AFL would be able to say you have to draft a certain kid. What would happen if North bluffed and took someone else? AFL cant then stop the draft and take 11 off them.
North could still do it, they seem to like Sanders enough to ask for him so if you are getting a free pick why not draft him higher?
Just hard to see the way they can do that
Yes, that the fear we have to stoke. Derails their negotiations to land Deven Robertson or someone else.Do we? If someone said to me 'pay me a higher price or I will let you have it for free in a month's time!!!' I am not exactly going to be compelled to pay the higher price. They have pick 1 in the PSD - the PSD threat only works if there is a risk they might lose the player in that gamble.

Yep, AFL commissioned draft tampering. And to think they have an Integrity Unit!Surely that would be draft tampering.

I’d be content with a pick in the 30’s for Brockman.
If we get McKay, they’re a fair chance frost would ask for a trade. An apparently Clarkson is interested in him. A pick in the 40’s would be reasonable and help us.
This is a really over the top reaction. Let's just wait to see how it plays out first. Why? WC will pick him up there anyway. He's screwed us by picking them over Freo, as he knows he can walk there via the PSD.
This is big business.
If they throw a F4 at us, I'm walking him.
Set a precedent for future trades.
No more free lunches. It stops now.
My point being though, If North get a offer too good to say no to on draft night or there’s a guy they werent expecting there and they take him what do AFL do?They’ve been given access to Sanders to begin with which they shouldn’t even have.
The AFL declaring, “you must use one of the peaks you get on Sanders now that you’ve been campaigning for the last six months about having access to him”, makes complete sense.
